When I was only a year old my mom and dad got a divorce. My dad took me and moved half way across the world to America. Just two years later he remarried to another woman. I grew up with her until I was twelve. Then I found out my real mother moved to America and went to live with her. She lived in a huge house with her new husband. They were both lawyers and had plenty of money, the only bad part was that she lived in New Jersey and my father lived in Texas so I had to choose one or the other. My mother had a more stable life style while my father would go drinking every night. So I moved in with my mother knowing it was the better of the two. Life was going great until I turned 16.
p.s. I do mention Jesus in the first chapter but if your not a believer I wont bring it up all that often so don’t let that stop you from reading the book.
Chapter 1
My name is Madison and I live in New Jersey with my mother and step father. I live the typical life of a 15 year old girl. I'm rich and my friends say I'm beautiful, but I'm not stuck up. I put others first and give anyone a chance because that’s what Jesus would do. Only two days until my 16th birthday and I cant wait that morning my mom is taking me to get my license and then we’re going to go by me whatever car I want. I go to the main high school here in New Jersey. It’s finally Friday time for the weekend also meaning my sweet 16 is tonite. When I get home the house is all decorated and ready for the party so I run up stairs and get ready for the guest to arrive. While I cant decide what to wear my best friend Maya arrives to do my hair. We decide I should wear the sapphire dress that comes just above the knee. We finish our hair and make up just as guest start to arrive, we practically run down the stairs to greet the guest that are arriving. It’s not going to be a very big party I only invited my 16 closest friends so the house wouldn't be a total wreck when every one left. We danced and ate before opening presents. Maya, shaylee, Marissa, Callie, and Sarah got me make up and/or clothes. While joe, Justin, Dylan, Michel, Hannah, Brianna, and Blake got me money. Every one else listened to me when I said don’t get me any thing. After everyone left I helped my parents clean before taking a shower and going to bed. The next morning I could hear my parents talking so I listened in. when I found out what they where saying I felt my knees buckle under me and I fell to the floor. We were moving to Texas and I didn’t even know about this. I heard foot step as my mom rushed into my room asking what happened then she realized I had heard the whole thing about us moving. She told me she would help me pack and we were leaving tomorrow after I got my license. I got off the floor and helped pack my stuff before calling Jonathan, my boyfriend in Texas that I had to break up with before I moved, telling him I was moving back to Texas and to meet me at 8:30 pm at the chili’s in Forney.
