To be completely honest, you are not that special. There are so many traits about you that are common among most other humans. Your pride is taller than any mountain and deeper than any ocean; it can practically be seen materialized into a being of its own. Don't you think it's pitiable? That that is all you have to hold on to? There are no other characteristics about you that are even worth mentioning. The tragedy you have faced took away your uniqueness. Now, you are just like the rest - grey, mundane, alone. And yet, you continue to feed yourself those lies, the lies that tell you you matter. If ever you see your reflection, will you fall so deeply in love with what you see looking back at you? Such an ego will get you killed. Justice does not appreciate those who take advantage of what they have. I am that vengeance, come to remind you of your place: your closest friend, your arch nemesis. Remember these words, as they are foreshadowing of what is to come. You will not be victorious: but, you can expect to discover a whole new world of suffering. - ✶
