The scene fades the black

Happy music fades into a powerful song

And the director's name is flashed on the screen

This story is over and done with

Leaving the audience wanting more

I'm just waiting to see what song plays

At the end of my story

And who's names scroll on by

What if the ending credits don't have my name in them?

Am I just a nobody in the background of someone else's story

In the end I was never meant for the happy ending

I don't want my story to end like that

It is mine after all, and I demand a rewrite

I guess it's time to take control and act like it's mine

There's a script in my head

But no one else follows along

So why should I?

If only I could improvise a scene

As well as all the big name actors out there
