It was on that bright and sunny day that Spencer, a young man with short Raven black hair and olive green eyes, decided to take a stroll in the open forest. He hasn't been up to much in the past few days, for he had just graduated from the academy in Axis' capital, Median. Sure, but many people graduate at the age of nineteen, but the academy isn't just a school for anyone. He made it in with his ferromagnetism ability.

As he walked down the grassy plain, he noticed the trees' leafs turning to the pink and orangish color they always turn around the beginning of the season. The old teen chuckled as memories rushed through his brain. "It's always around this time that things happen." Spencer said to himself while continuing to walk downs the path.

The newly graduated male enjoyed the sight of nature, and more importantly, the silence. He rarely gets to take a stroll and glance at nature's creations. Not many look at nature anymore, for everything is in technology and inside of large suburban cities. Heck, it's even hard to look up and find the moon. Just the thought that one day, sooner or later, most of this grassy forest by the edge of the city will be destroyed, and there is not a thing he can do to help it's inevitable destruction.

'I'm sorry father. I tried too keep the forest you and grandpa created for others to enjoy. But instead, they want to tear it down for more factories.' Spencer thought, feeling guilt deep down. The teen looks at the ground ahead of him and watched as two bunnies hopped around, looking for food. Birds sing songs above Spencer, but are well hidden among the trees. These little creatures are what's left of pure nature, and not the evil creatures of the dark.

"Spencer!" The teen being called looked up, and his eyes widen in surprise as a beautiful girl with long sky blue hair jumps from one of the tree branches and down to him. Spencer raised his hands to catch the girl. She giggled when she is caught by Spencer. Her sky blue hair flows down her shoulders as She rested her forehead on his. Her hands are gently laid on his shoulder for support, but she knows that it is not needed.

"Hey Spence~" The girl said playfully, looking into the olive green eyes of her best friend

"Hey Spence~" The girl said playfully, looking into the olive green eyes of her best friend.

"Good morning, Crystalline." Spence, as his nickname was, replied to her greeting.

"I didn't know you'd walk through here~" She said after Spencer placed her down on the ground. Spencer chuckled and slightly shook his head at her comment. "You know I always walk through her during the autumn equinox."

Crystalline giggled and walked with him, holding his hand a d inter winning her fingers with his as they did so. "I suppose I do."

Spencer silently sighed as he felt her soft delicate fingers touching his rather rough skinned ones. Spencer supposed that is what happens when you are too busy fighting evil creatures and using deadly weapons to defend oneself. "What's the matter?" The girl asked when she heard his sigh.

"There cutting the forest down. Apparently my grandfather planted all these trees above the gems they need to fuel their weapons." Spencer hesitantly said, for he wasn't sure if she would even care.

"Spencer! That's horrible!" She exclaimed, looking to her right and up to see the face of the graduate. Spencer was facing the ground, for it was suddenly interesting to him.

"I tried to stop them from passing the act, but as you can see it was futile." Spencer, saddened that he couldn't do anything to keep the forest standing, looked to his left to stare into Crystalline's matching blue eyes. Crystal released his hand and stepped in front of him, looking up to see the taller human.

"Spence. You tried your best. I'm sure you did. This place means so much to you and I can't imagine how it feels losing the only thing that connects you to your family." Crystal raised her right hand and placed her palm on is left cheek. He looked at Crystal's eyes and slowly grabbed her arm.

"You don't have to worry about me. I'll be. . . I'll do something." He murmured, not sounding as convincing has he did when he was thinking about his reply. Crystal frowned. Just because she hasn't shown his affection to him like most girls would show it to others, doesn't mean she doesn't worry about Spencer. She decided to grab his left hand and pull him down through the forest.

"Hey. Where are we going?" Spencer asked, now dumbfounded by her sudden action to drag him along the forest. "You'll see." She answered his question. He looked around, but couldn't recognize the place. It was still just a place filled with trees with pink leafs and grass as green as his eyes. There was nothing to make out of the terrain.

"You don't remember, do you?" Crystal sadly asked. She would expect him to remember the place by now, but nothing seemed to make a click in Spencer's mind.

"I'm sorry. I don't." Spencer looked around, but the only major thing that spoke to him was the large tree in front of the duo.

"Spencer, this is the place we first met," Crystalline began to explain the location they are in, "remember? You were walking down this path and I jumped down front he trees with a dagger? We fought for a long time until eventually you pinned me. I still have the scar on my shoulder. Look." She pointed to the cut marks on the bark of a nearby tree.

The memories slowly formed in his mind. The events that occurred almost four years ago was unfolded in this exact spot. He felt ashamed that he didn't recognize the place earlier.

"Spencer. I would come here every day since I met you and practice so I could outmatch you one day. However, I eventually realized that. . . That I wasn't doing it to best you, but to impress you. As the years went on I finally figured it out." Crystal kept explaining in a soft tone and approached the tree with a white bark. "I even wrote our names on the tree." She pressed her finger on a heart shape carving that was on that tree, and we name and his were in the middle of the shape.

"Don't you see Spencer? This place is also meaningful to me. I couldn't say it before, and I can't say it now. I don't think I ever will. But. . . Just know that I. . . I'll always be here for you." The girl began to stutter as tears formed on her eyes.

Spencer smiled a little at her as he walked closer to Crystalline. He placed his hands on her hips and leaned down to press his lips against hers. Crystal squeaked in surprise; a light blush appearing on her cheeks as she was being kissed by Spencer. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck. Nothing mattered to her at this point. There could be a war happening behind her and she would not let go of him. She hoped that he felt the same way. Because this was the only thing she can offer to make feel better.

"I love you Crystalline."
