Kali's POV
"Kali & Detrell wake up !! Come on get up and get ready for school, Now!" my grandmother said. This was one of the days I hated because it was the same cycle happening over and over again for me and everybody else that lived in this house. "Okay grandma," I responded *mumbles* Oh how I can't wait until I graduate and get my own house. Try living in a small house with four other people, I doubt you would ever want to come over here.
Let me introduce myself my name is Kali Maples. I'm 17 years old and a senior at Fort Hill High School. I'm originally from Memphis but I'm currently staying in Atlanta. This was a big push for me because I had to leave the hood just to come back to the hood. I'm a kind-hearted person with a short temper so don't ever try to push me over. I'm 5'6 slim-thick as most people would say. I have hair for days but that's all y'all need to know about me for right now.
I slowly started to drag myself out the bed well I just sat there for 15 minutes thinking to myself "man I really don't want to go to school". I really miss Memphis so much and the small friends that I had back out there. After awhile I got up and did my hygiene routine and put this ugly uniform on. Detrell almost nearly knocked me over. "Dang! Detrell watch where you're going !" I yelled at him angrily. Whatever ugly just shut up and do what you was doing earlier, Detrell said to me. "Kali, Why are you screaming in this house you don't pay no damn bills to be screaming up in this house?" my grandmother said to me. *rolls eyes* I wish my mother would at least start to take up for me but instead she just watches ever since my dad stepped out we had to move back in with my grandma and two cousins Detrell and Andrew. Detrell was a junior at Fort Hill while Andrew was still in middle school.
"Trell I'm about to leave you mane!" I hated waiting on people and he should know this by now. "Okay damn girl hold up, You know I got to get right for the ladies," Trell said loud. I hate how he could get away with doing things he cursed so loud our grandmother just laughed it off and said "Boy!" Sometimes I just wonder what if me and my mom was still living at our own house and my dad was still around would I be feeling the way I feel now.
