I’ve known her for quite some time now.
He’s been lingering for a while already.
She’s breathtaking.
He’s utterly gorgeous.
Her presence makes me all tensed-up.
His being around makes me feel like a jittery mess.
Her laugh sends shivers down my spine.
His smile makes my head spin in circles.
Her touch feels so electrifying.
His voice sounds so sexy.
I love how the wind blows through her let-down hair.
I like how his hair looks kinda messed-up as if he just woke up.
I can see her taking stolen glances my way.
I can definitely catch him staring at me.
Do you think I stand a chance with her?
Does he go for someone like me?
She might think I’m just like the rest.
He might feel as if I’m not good enough.
The only way to find out is for me to make a move.
All I can do is wait for him.
Here goes nothing.
If only he’ll take the chance.
“Hi Kim.” He said.
“Hey there Xi.” She replied.
“Is this seat taken?” He asked.
“No, it isn’t.” Shyly she replied.
I grabbed the empty seat near her.
He took the seat and sat beside me.
She’s making me nervous!
I don’t know what to say!
Damn. She’s really beautiful up close.
He looks even better from this angle.
This is it, he thought to himself.
What now? She pondered.
“Any plans yet for tonight?” His nervousness almost choked him out of his own words.
“None so far.” She smiled as she bit her lip nervously.
He pushed it further this time. “Care to have dinner with me?”
She was nervous but still maintained her composure. “And where would that be?”
He thought for a moment. “Sofitel? Spiral. Is that fine with you?”
“Is this a date?”She laughed softly as if teasing him.
“Depends on how you take it.” He said with a sheepish grin.
“I guess I’ll take that as a yes.” She put her hand on top of his and smiled.
I was unprepared for it. She caught me off-guard.
That must have taken him by surprise. I can sense it.
I need to explain my intentions.
I have a feeling about what he’s up to.
“I don’t mean to take advantage of this situation.” He began.
“I know...and I understand that.” She assured him.
“You know? How come?”
“Woman’s instinct, and here you are affirming it.”
I can feel myself becoming suddenly conscious.
I can see his ears are getting red.
“I’m sorry. I really am.”
“You don’t have to be, it’s perfectly fine with me.”
Did I just hear her right?
I hope he doesn’t think that I’m making fun out of this.
“I’d really like to get to know you better.”
“And I’m giving you the chance to do so.”
I looked at her in awe. She was amazing, indeed.
I smiled at him in contentment. I know he’s worth that chance.”
“Shall we go now?”
“Yes, of course.”
I grabbed my car keys. Standing up, I opened the door for her.
I stood up and headed for the door where he was waiting for me.
She paused for a while and turned to me.
He looked surprised that I suddenly stopped.
What’s she thinking about this time?
Maybe he’s wondering why.
“Everything alright?” He asked her.
“Yes, but I think I have a better idea.” She motioned for him to come closer.
She took my hand and held it in hers.
I laced my fingers in between his.
“This feels different.” He told her, happily surprised.
“Yeah, but we might as well get used to it.” She smiled as she gave his hand a quick squeeze.
