I look up to him. My eyes full of question. He smiles at me his eyes crinkling with happiness. He nods his head putting and end to all of my doubts. He clears his throat to capture my attention. I look up at him once more. His eyes search mine as if he was asking for some kind of permission. After what seemed as if he had found it, he looks at me again but this time with certainty. He had found his answer and I have found mine.

"The future is a long way ahead of us, but right now is all that matters"

He puts out the cigarette and leaves me with his words in the dark night.
