I have been up to a lot of things lately. With my health getting better I have been feeling better as well. I feel the need to eat more. My hair has stopped falling out and my friends don't suspect a thing. Except last week my little brother came and saw me again. He was supposed to be at school and I didn't have any classes that day. He ran away from school. My parents were so mad at him. I didn't tell them that he was with me until I felt like he had nothing to tell my parents. He was panting when he got to my dorm room door. He said he had ran the whole way there. I was just about to head out and get some late breakfast. He was just standing there catching his breath as I had open the door to leave. I helped him into my room and gave him some water. I canceled my plans and decided to get my roommate to bring me something from the common room. 10 minutes later I was eating a muffin and helping my brother control his breathing. He isn't much of a runner.
When he finally caught his breath he only said one thing "I know what's wrong with you." As I silently panicked, in the back of my mind I am relieved to know that he knows. "How did you find out?" I said as I tried to look at him straight. "The doctor told me when you were there one afternoon "volunteering" but I knew that wasn't what you were doing so I asked him and he told me everything. Why didn't you tell me?" He said as he gave me that puppy face he always gives when he is upset about something. I can't help but think that I should have told him sooner. "Oh. I didn't realize that you were investigating me." I say a little annoyed knowing that he was snoopy but I am calm and I realize that he knows me better than anyone else. He saw that something was wrong with me and went looking around to find out. I knew I could count on my brother to be there for me. I gave him something to eat after he had changed his clothes. Which were soaked because it had been raining at some point when he was running here to find me. "It's true. I only have a few months left but I plan to tell everyone tonight at dinner." I say as I stand up. "Good because I hate lying to mom and dad and it was really rough getting here." he says as he stands to. I take him to get some lunch and then take him back to school and I tell them that I had pulled him out because I had missed him and wanted to spend some time with him. They believed me and he carried on with school. As I dropped him off and left I begin to wonder how they would react to everything. But before I could do anything I had to get my treatment in for the day. As I sit down and the nurse puts the IV in my arm I slowly slid into a deep sleep. Not knowing that I had become so exhausted from talking to my brother. I close my eyes and thank God for the most sleep I have had since I found out. It's hard to sleep at night knowing that I might not wake up. My mind is a colorful mess as I close my eyes.
