Kylie's POV
"Have we got him this time?" Sharmaine half whines, lashing her eye lashes at us, through I know she's keeping her temper at ease --- That's how she always is.
"Yes. And we'll make sure that this time will be the last time. We'll tell Dad to increase the security at home. That asshole nearly got us." Shaina snorts, in her most unladylike way, she runs her hand over the locks of her golden brown hair in frustration.
"Hey, you all look so worn out. Let's call it a day, shall we, girls? I am so beat up like a pulp." I muttered, walking towards them as I both reach their shoulders and give it a light squeezel, for reassurance. Damn, can't we have our usual morning routine?--- The three of us relaxing over our oh-so-favorite wine. I really missed it.
All of us walk along side the wrecked building, filled with police officials scanning and talking to the people who has witnessed the scene from earlier. Police men all spread out at the area. We hurried our walks to avoid them. Geez, do it has to be always like this? Oh, this is so frustrating. And my back, dang it aches. We really have to take a rest.
"Greys! Wait! I need you!" A familiar voice shouts. Ah, yes, Detective Alec. How should I forget? He always need us for our interview just like the previous days.
"What?" I asked irritated, not bothering how rude my manner is right now.
"We need to talk. Now, this instant. We have to cover up the scenes, and have a little chat for an interview of how this happened, and for I can clear this case." He says in a rush, but brief explanation.
"Not now, please. We seriously need to take a rest for fuck sake." This time, it's Shaina's turn to whine.
"Detective Alec, please. Spare this day for the three of us. We really are in need to take a goddamn rest." I spoke between gritted teeth. My annoyed side consuming me. He gazes at me, taken aback from my sudden outburst. Oh, you should be.
He sighs, exasperated. "Only for this day, Miss Kylie. But please, this shouldn't be avoided just like that." Oh, thank God for granting my silent prayer.
Both Shaina and Sharmaine sighs in unison, in relief. Darn it, we look like single mothers having trouble taking care of stubborn little babies, but surely, we're still quite young, aren't we?
All at once, we thanked him for not being his usual annoying self.
----
"At last ---- home!" Sharm squeals in delight.
"Yes, home sweet home." I breathed, unawared that I've been holding my breath until now. I collopased on my sofa. Oh my, it really feels heavenly--- what am I going to do without you? I hugged my pillow--- Oh and you too.
I heard Shaina's phone ring. Oh dear, what is it this time?
"Fuck this." She hiss, fetching her phone from her back pocket. I heard her answered the call with a single 'hello'. Ignoring her, I inhaled the sweet flowering scent of my pillow. I hummed in appreciation. How I love staying here at our own house. It really soothes me. Maybe we can all relax now. Surely?
"Ow-- Hey, watch it!" I yelled as I felt a pillow hit my head. Shit, what is wrong with this people?
"What?" I ask, rolling my eyes. Do I they really have to throw a stupid pillow at me?
I quickly turn around, expecting to hear light giggles, but instead, I hear sobs. Then I saw Shaina, all pale, as if she'd seen a ghostly figure. My brows furrow in confusion. What's happening? Shaina looks at me, her eyes filled with shock, pain and hurt.
"Harvey.." She trails off, her voice failing her. My heart leaps in my mouth. Oh no. My mind quickly run the thoughts of some possible worst case scenarios. In a fraction of nanosecond, I gasp. Oh no. No. No. No.
"He's gone." She chokes. Gone? Holy shit.
"You've got to tell me that's just a stupid mindless prank." I murmured, though my voice not audible as before.
"It's..true." She speaks through uncontrolled sobs. Then she sinks down on the floor, completely dropping her phone.
I bend down, grasping the phone with my trembling hands.
"Shaina?" Mom. It really is her. But her voice is hoarse. She's been crying. My heart starts to contrict.
"Mom? It's me.. Is it true? Tell me it's not. Please." I beg desperately. Tell me it's not. It's not true.
She stays silent. My eyes start to sting. I wiped it, firmly holding the phone in place.
"Tell me, mom. He's just in his room, or there at the mall, buying all kinds of things." I chocked. Please.
"Oh, honey, baby. I wish that's what truly happened. But it's true. He's gone." Suddenly, the world stops. I can't hear anything except my heavy breathing. Shit. Tears starts to stream down on its own. No..
"No!" I yelled at the phone. My breathing beguns to hitch. Shit. Shit. Shit. It's far worse beyond my mind expected it to. Suddenly, I'm on the floor. I took a quick glance at the two. Both trembling with fear, the same as I am..
He's gone.
--
"You're all set now. Ready to go, Miss Kylie." Our maid named Leana speaks as she tucks my braided hair sideways. I took a minute to examine my feature on the mirror. My eyes are still puffy from all my crying. Sharmaine still hasn't recovered that much, but Shaina's just the same as me --- acting brave and strong, we have to. I told them that the three of us will be just wearing simple dresses, as Harvey always please to see us looking like that -- maybe this can make him happy. My lips curve in a sad smile -- Yeah, he'll like it. I took a long breath ---- Okay, it's time. We all held each others hand as we walk outside our room, and over to our parent's room.
"Mom." Shaina called out in a soft voice, immediately, Mom turned to beam at us. She smiles as she sees us well presentable.
"You all look lovely, dear. We should be get going now." She smiles again, though her eyes are full of pain, hurt and regret. Oh, Mom, don't be like that.
Absentmindedly, Sharmaine let goes of my hand, and reaches Mom for a hug, taken by surprise, she still whole-heartedly accepts it. Few soft sobs can be heard inside the room. The door opens, interrupting us from our moment, and Dad walks in. He says nothing.
"Christian.." Mom trails off, Sharmaine still in her arms. Dad blinks for about a second, then reaches the two of them, wrapping his arms around them. Both me and Shaina took a glance at each other, and without hesitation, we head towards them. Dad turns at us, and does the same thing like Mom, he flashes his sad, symphatetic smile at us, then opens his arms, wanting us to join them, then we're all wrapped up. It feels so good to be in their arms. It feels so safe.
---
"He died too early."
"He's still too young."
"There's so much things he hasn't seen in this world."
People around us won't stop murmuring, all talking about Harvey. He really did died too early. This shouldn't be happening -- Not to him.
"He doesn't deserve this."
Yes, he doesn't. He never deserved this. Anger, pain and hurt taking over my body, consuming me in a matter of seconds. I will never forget what we all saw on his room. All messed up, some of his stuffs spread all over the floor. And him --- all tied up just above his bed. It was a horrible thing for a human to see, especially for us and Dad --- as he has a terrible past. But what I saw in his computer is what I considered the most unforgettable --- It's them --- One Direction. I saw various pictures about them --- I memorized all their faces. I won't forgive them unless I'll be able to see with my own eyes that their body are burnt to ashes -- And we'll be the ones to terminate them. They should be ready for us.
