Ainsley woke up the sound of her alarm clock ringing.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
She groaned and slapped it, and the alarm stopped. She got up and stretched, a yawn following. "Another boring day of school" She got up and walked to the bathroom. She hurried out of her room to the bathroom, and got in before Bethany.
"Ugh, you're gonna make me late!" Ainsley heard her sister yell from outside the door. "Sorry sis, i got here first." Ainsley said, stripping from her pajamas.
She got inside and started the warm water. After her shower, she wrapped a towel around her body. "Hurry up!" She heard Bethany yell. "You can't rush beauty sis" Ainsley said, blow drying her hair. She brushed it, and brushed her teeth. She quickly put some lipstick on and went out.
"Finally" Bethany complained as Aisnley walked out. "ew! Ainsley!" Bethany said, seeing Ainsley's dirty clothes on the floor.
Ainsley grabbed some clothes and put them on, a black and white striped shirt, her favorite jeans, and her usual black boots. She slipped on her orange-pink jacket and grabbed her phone.
No messages, as always. She turned on her favorite song, True love, by P!nk. She plugged in her headphones to them and slipped them on, and started the song.
She hummed along as she walked out of her room and down the stairs to the table. "Morning mom." She said, grabbing an apple from the fridge. "Morning Ainsley." Her mom said, reading the newspaper.
Bethany came down as well, her hair still wet. "Bethany, your hair." Her mom said, putting down the newspaper. "Morning to you too mom." Bethany said.
Ainsley laughed and ate her apple. She grabbed a water bottle and her backpack. "Bye mom, i'm heading to school." Her mom nodded. "Good bye honey."
Ainsley skipped out the door and waited for the school bus. She didn't want to be late like last time, everyone laughed at her, and Benny Jones spat spit balls at her, and the teacher ignored it.
The bus came, and she hopped inside. As she walked down the aisle, everyone stared at her, and covered up the open seats next to them.
Ainsley sighed. She was used to this. She finally spotted one and sat down before the girl could cover it up with her backpack, or purse, or whatever she could find.
The girl scoffed and crossed her arms. Ainsley recognized her, Jessala. Jessala was Stephanie's best friend. Stephanie was the school bully's girlfriend, and eagle crest high school mean girl.
Ainsley hummed along to the song, which obviously annoyed Jessala. "Um, can you like, stop?" Jessala asked. Ainsley paused it and took off her headphones. "I'm sorry, did you say something?" Jessala scoffed and looked away. "Hey, i actually couldn't hear you ya' know!"
Jessala turned back to her. "I'm sorry did YOU say something?" Jessala smirked. Ainsley put her headphones back on and turned the song back on, and looked away.
Finally the school bus arrived at school. Everyone rushed off. As always, Ainsley got off last, letting Jessala go first. She learned that she had to do that the hard way.
The first day she tried to get off and everyone pushed past her, and she went to her classroom with bruises on her arms.
As she got out, she saw Jessala and Stephanie.
"Girl you're here!" Jessala said, hugging Stephanie. "I know, like, i won't take that stupid smelly bus, and like, risk sitting next to some, like, new girl scum!" The girls walked off. Ainsley sighed, wishing she had friends.
The song ended and Ainsley turned on another song, Victim of love. But as she was walking, she ran into a boy. "Oh, sorry." She quietly said. The boy shrugged and smiled. "Eh, it's fine. It was me who wasn't watching where i was going." Ainsley nodded and walked off to her class.
She could feel eyes on her, and she turned around, and saw the boy looking at her, but as soon as she looked at him he turned back around and kept walking.
She smiled, and went to her classroom.
She sat down at her usual seat, in the second-to-last row. She always went early, just in case.
She saw Jessala and Stephanie come in. They both were in almost every single class that she was in. Ainsley sighed and kept listening to the song.
Since she was listening to love songs, she wondered if she would find someone special someday. "Oh my gosh Stephanie, when are you gonna dump that jock jerk, Tyler?" Jessala asked, pulling out a mirror and checking her makeup.
"Are you serious Jess? Tyler is like, really important to me!" Jessala smirked. "Well, i saw you staring at that boy, Charles in the hall." Stephanie giggled. "Well, i might like, leave him for Charlie, but like, i got to get Charlie to like, like me first!"
Ainsley sighed. Another day of school.
