Blam, blam, blam, there was a loud noise just outside Timmy's mother's room. His mother Teresa went out to find out what that was. When she approached the kitchen, she saw Timmy standing there in his underwear practicing his bow for the school talent show. When she saw him, she immediately started laughing and fell on the floor. Timmy, who was just trying to impress the judges started crying and ran away. After his mother realized she quickly ran after him trying to make it up to him. Before she could catch him, he closed the door to his room and locked it. Teresa went back downstairs to find the keys to all the doors in the house but realized that Timmy took all of them when he ran upstairs.
When she went back upstairs to try and get him to come out with bribery and that even did not work. Then she came up with one of the best bribes in the world. It was not to let him go to the talent show if he did not get out at that very instant. Even with that bribe he still did not want to get out of his room. Timmy realized that his whole music career could start on the outcome of this show. There would be lots of music producers looking for young kids to do side shows at different events to make some extra money. Timmy did not want to be with those guys he just wanted to work for George Wallaby, he most famous music producer of all time.
As he realized he needed to go to that performance, Timmy quietly tiptoed to his door and undid what he thought was the lock but was the fire lock on the door which made the door unopenable. In his scramble to open the door, he bumped into a little can of gasoline used to start the fire in the furnace in the winter. When he smelled the gas, it tripped the carbon monoxide detector causing the fire department to be called the front desk of the apartment building.
After the fire department left Timmy locked himself inside his bedroom again and started playing on his iPad. After a while, his iPad begun to lose power and then eventually died. With nothing to do, he decided to plug it in and let it charge for a while. While it was charging he heard a crackling sound and quickly looked at the power outlet. It turns out that an animal chewed the iPad cable, and it was creating a short circuit. Once again the fire department had to be called to put out the small bedroom fire.
Just as Timmy was about to lock himself in his room, his mom decided to scare him by hiding under his bed. After he had come into his bedroom, his mom came out and scared him right out of his skin. He ran away and then it was a chase around the house. His mom cornered him in the living room and then grabbed him by the waist and said: " I am very sorry, please forgive me, and do the talent show." After that, he decided to do the talent show and get ready.
As they arrived at the theater, he began to tremble because he saw Mr. Wallaby walk by them. When they entered the Theatre, he saw lots of his drama friends, and they were performing too. When the first few acts went on Timmy was sure he was going to win first place because he was better than all of them.
After finishing his performance and getting a standing ovation, he bowed imagining he was in his underwear he gave a big smile. While his grandparents had already left his mom treated him to a very special dinner. A few days after the performance there was a letter from Mr. Wallaby saying that he had just gotten a job to work for him and work would start next week with Monday, Thursday, and Saturday as school learning days.
