prompt: Connor attends the Suburbia Tour.
Connor was on his way to Troye's LA show of the Suburbia Tour. Why would he go and support his ex-boyfriend? Alex Hope convinced him.
"Oh, come on! It won't be that bad" Alex dragged Connor by the arm as he frowned.
"What if people see me? I don't want to risk that. What if Troye's boyfriend is there?" Connor rolled his eyes as he felt the pang of jealousy hit him hard.
"I just want you to be here! This will be such a big night for me. I'm performing BLUE with him and that's such a big step for me" She grinned, Connor just nodded his head and followed her to the balcony.
"If you see anyone just...don't let seeing Jacob ruin your night. Please just stay" Alex pleaded.
"Fine fine... I'll stay. Good luck, Hope. You'll smash it" The green eyed boy embraced her in a hug.
"I'm proud of you" He added as Alex looked at him with awe and happiness.
"Thank you, Con" She replied as she made her way backstage.
💛💛💛
The show had already started and Troye has been on for a while. The truth is, Connor was actually enjoying the concert and the fact that Troye looked so happy and full of life, made Connor really happy. The songs he once sang to him were now sang to someone new but to Connor it still seem like they were for him.
"Are you guys ready for a new song? We haven't performed this one live...." Troye said as the crowd went wild.
"Where are you? Who are you with, it's late, do you miss me?" A recorded voice of Troye spoke as the intro of THE QUIET played.
"Growing distance..." Troye sang with a tone of sadness.
Was this really happening? Was Troye really performing a song that he didn't want to because it would hurt? Alex had told Connor that he broke down during rehearsals and told her that he missed Connor and he hated how they were strangers.
"Anything hurts less than the quieeeeet" He dropped with the beat as Connor felt tears threatening to spill.
"Hey! I'm about to go-" Alex spoke but noticed how Connor had his mouth open in shock.
"I...Alex...What is this?" Connor asked, he already felt tears down his cheek.
"I didn't know that song was on the setlist...Karina told me he broke down but I just..." Alex seem so confused as to why Connor looked so hurt.
"T-that song... I have to go" Connor hugged Alex and made his way down to the balcony.
"Anything but quiet..." Troye's voice sung as he was about to exit.
"Just telllll me" Troye locked eyes with Connor and looked at him with shock.
"S-say anything" He stuttered and Connor left without seeing his best friend perform.
💛💛💛
"You missed my performance..." Alex tapped Connor's shoulder as she made her way to the back of the auditorium.
"I knew you were going to be here... Nice view, right?" She spoke and Connor just nodded.
"Can I ask-"
"Not yet..."
"I understand but he really wants to speak with you. He saw you and he just wants to...talk" She pointed at Troye who was standing there with a black expression on his face.
"I'll see you later? We should go to a bar and celebrate" Alex suggested and the green eyed boy agreed.
"I'll leave you guys alone" You could only hear Alex's footsteps as she left since it was so quiet.
"Connah..." Troye spoke first as he sighed sadly.
"Why did you...stop talking to me. I know I am the worst human-"
"You are not, Troye" Connor sat down on the sidewalk and so did Troye.
"You were ready to settle down. You were so in love with me and I broke your heart, Con" Blue eyes met green eyes for the first time in forever.
"But that doesn't make you a bad person. I was the one who fell without knowing the consequences" Connor laughed sadly.
"Don't say that, Con. I just miss you... I don't know where have you been or like anything. It's like if we never knew each other or like we were never best friends" The pale boy shrugged as he scooted closer to Connor.
"Troye... You are happy and that's what matters. I bet Jacob makes you really happy and my friendship is not as strong as your love for him" Connor bit his lower lip as Troye sighed.
"I'm sorry... For everything" Troye placed his hand on Connor's shoulder.
"Yeah...I'm sorry too. I really have to go but can I ask why you sang the song if it hurts so much?" Connor stood up, Troye just shrugged and smiled sadly.
"Sometimes it's better to sing your feelings than keep them inside. It does hurt me that we suddenly stopped talking. The song says anything hurts less than the quiet and it's really true... anything would hurt less than knowing that I lost you" Troye walked away as he left Connor alone and not for the first time.
🌹🌹🌹
this was slightly inspired by the intro of THE QUIET for the Suburbia Tour.
I went to his show in Sunday and it was honestly just so fuckingamazing. i LOVED the fact that some songs included intros before them. the intros had like a story behind them and yeah..they were really beautiful. also, THE QUIET and BLUE live are just so stunning. i'm so happy that troye decided to put them on the setlist. anyway, the tour in general is just the best??? i had the best time ever dancing and singing my lungs out.
+ before HEAVEN i yelled i love you and he said i love you too... i'm a happy girl. i really am. (the video is my pinned on my twitter aka @/CONNORSHEAVEN)
if you have the chance or are going to the suburbia tour then have the best time ever!!! y'all deserve it so so much. dance all night and sing your lungs out. stay safe too!!!!
