Zarana's P.O.V.~

I rushed out of the class room furiously. I've wanted to punch that stupid jock in the face so many times, but then I realized that was an understatement. I wanted to rip out his intestines, and string them all over the school hallways, then I tear out his brain, and make them use it as the football at games. Finally, I would cut his heart up into cute little animal pieces, and make him swallow every one. I'd be laughing as he choked on each one.

Just as my thought were getting good, I felt a soft hand touch my shoulder from behind. It forced me to stop in mid-stride. I turned to face the person who had shown me the kind gesture, and there stood Faith. I felt the slightest of blushes run into my cheeks. She opened her mouth to speak, "Zarana? Are you okay?" I looked at her like she was crazy. 'Of course I'm not okay! He's done this to me for years! Every single time he says it, it hurts like fucking hell!' At least, that's what I wanted to say, but she actually wanted to know, hmm, too bad. "I fine, it's just, he gets on my nerves after a while."

She furrowed her eyebrows, such a cute face, and released my shoulder. "If that's what you wanna tell me, then I'll believe it." My heart melted, 'How is she so nice? I don't get it! She's too sweet.' She shot me a soft smile, "Um, who do you have next?" Her face heated up and she scratched the back of her neck. "I still don't completely understand where to go." I smile at her adorable embarrassment. "I have Mrs. Jasperson. She's pretty nice, for a science teacher." She looked up with hopeful eyes. "I have her next too." I smiled at her, "I can show you, come on." I took her hand, and dragged her though the crowded hallways.

Faith's P.O.V.~

I felt my face heat up as she took my hand, her grasp firm, but soft. She weaves me through the hallways, people staring every now and then. She stopped in front of Mrs. Jasperson's classroom. "Here we are." She let go of my hand, and I missed the warmth it sent through me. She walked inside, and I followed. She took her seat, and I stood by the teachers desk. To my luck, I didn't see Ryan walk in.

After a few minutes, the teacher walked in. "Class, take your seats. Faith, you can go sit with Kai." She pointed to a boy with shaggy brown hair, glasses, and a nice smile. I took the seat next to him, and he looked at me. "Hi there, I'm Kai." He shot me a smirk, and I smiled back. "I'm Faith, nice to meet you." He held his hand out for me to shake, and I took it kindly. He had a slightly firm, but gentle grasp. He flipped his hair out if his face, and released. He pushed his glasses up, and stared at the board.

Zarana's P.O.V.~

'Hmm, looks like she's made a new friend. . .' I wanted to be happy for her, but I just couldn't shake the jealousy. It clung onto me like a wet shirt just out of the washer. I wanted to be the only person that was her friend. Then again, I don't want her to be alone like me. I sighed as I picked up my pencil, a regular, every-day thing. I stared at the drawing on the board. 'Can't we just go one day without having to talk about the innards of a pig?' I sighed again, and pretended to pay attention. I looked back at Faith, who was laughing quietly so the teacher wouldn't hear her. I tried to devoid my attention from her, but I just couldn't seem to retract my eyes away from her. I finally decided to shut them, and turned my head in the opposite direction. After a few seconds, I opened them.

I stare back at the board, or at least I try to. "Hey, Zara." The girl next to me, Fiona, poked my shoulder, and called my name. I clenched my fists. 'Annoying wretch. . .' I finally faced her, "What?!" I quietly screamed. She smiled, not even caring about how pissed I was at her. "Who's the new girl? I saw you two holding hands." I wanted to smack her right then and there. I blushed and clenched my eyes shut. "I was showing her to the classroom, nothing more." She rose an eyebrow at me, "Oh reeeeeaaaally? I think you have a crush." She snickered silently. That, time, I seriously thought about grabbing the nearest sharp object and slicing open her throat. Instead, I gritted through the un-tamable instinct, and spoke."Listen, I don't like Faith that way, alright?" She grinned, pushing her luck. "Come on, lesbihonest."

I quickly scanned the room to make sure no one was watching, and I grabbed her by her shirt. "Look here missy, If you want to leave this class in pieces, keep pushing me, if you want to leave in one piece, shut the fuck up." I watched the fear scramble into her eyes, and held my menacing face. "S-Sorry, I'll be q-quiet. . ." I smirked, and released her. I stared at the board again, and drifted of into my thoughts, and my eyes became unfocused as I lazily sat awake in my seat.

Faith's P.O.V.~

I laughed as Kia cracked another joke. He was really funny, and he had a really nice smile. He opened his mouth again, "So, Faith, how do you like it here so far? I know it's only second period, but a lot can happen in 2 hours." I giggled, and smiled at him. "I guess I like it here so far. I mean, there's this one guy wh-" I was interrupted by Kai. "Don't tell me you already like someone." I furrowed my eyebrow's. 'Me? Like Ryan?! Bleh. . .' I spoke up, "Of course I don't like anyone, I was gonna say there's this boy who likes to be a jerk to me. His name's Ryan." Now he was the one furrowing eyebrows, "He's a jerk, he usually picks on girls by calling them fat or anorexic. You're neither of those." I smiled, and continued my point, "That's not what he did to me. . ."

He looked at me kind of confused, "Then what did he do to you?" I scratched the back of my neck, "Well, first he called my cute, then he kissed my cheek. Then, in first period, he snapped my bra strap twice. . ." Kai's eyes grew big. "W-What? He was flirting with you?" I gave him a puzzled that, "That was flirting? That's the weirdest kind of flirting I've ever seen." His look softened, "Well, he flirts that way to keep his pride. If a girl turns him down, he'll say it was just a joke, and that you're the stupid one for taking it so seriously." I frowned, 'That's not what I wanted to hear. . .' "There's only one way to stop him, get a threatening mate, and have em' stand up to him." I frowned more. "How on earth am I supposed to find someone like that?"

He gave me a smirk, full of pity for me, and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Look, I like you, so I'll help you out. I'll pretend to be your boyfriend, and scare him off. Is that alright with you?" I smiled, and clasped my hands together. I mean, he was a pretty attractive boy, he was funny, he had a bit of a nerdy side, and he was nice! Not to mention he was moderately strong looking. "You'd do that for me?" He smiled, and took my hands. "On one condition. . ." I tilted my head to the side in curiosity, and wondered what horrible consequences come with such a great deal. He held his pointer finger up, "One date." 'Why on Earth is this guy still single?! This is too good to be true!' I looked at him skeptically, and his look became sad. "No?" I softened my look, "It's just, it sounds more like a bonus than a catch. It's almost to good to be true. . ."

He laughed, "Are you kidding? All the girls in this school hate me." My mouth fell open, "You're lying, that's not possible." He stopped laughing, but his voice was still cheerful. "No, I'm being dead serious. All the girls in this school go for douche bags and swag fags. Hey, that rhymed." I giggled, unable to sense this school's logic. "Well, I'll take you up on that deal." He smiled at my answer, and reached his hand out for me to shake it. I did. We shook hands, and exchanged cheerful smiles. "Glad to hear that." He let go of my hand, and looked at the board. I looked up too, disgusted by the horrid insides of a pig. I tried not to grimace at it, but it was nasty, for a drawing even. Just when I thought I couldn't keep down my mother's lovely breakfast any longer, the bell rang.
