Alexandra p.o.v

I am in soo much pain and I'm starting to see black spots.

" what the heck is going on ." I hear a little girl say ,probably carters little sister .

and that was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.

carter p.o.v

I now felt a strong pull towards Alex . and I wanted and I mean really wanted to go help her. then I heard Judy ask what was happening and with that Alex stopped shaking and went limp. for a second I thought she was dead but the she turned into a red wolf with white here and there . she looked more like a fox then a wolf but her build was like a wolfs soo.... ya.

then I remembered a story that the pack elder read me when I was a little boy .

it was a legend that said we would be apart of a war against rouges hunters and vampires teamed together and only a werewolf that looked like a fox and a werefox that looked like a wolf could save us. now I know that she is the werewolf but who is the fox. ( werewolf : moon goddess werefox: son god)

I felt a stronger pull toward her it was crazy.

what is going on? why am I feeling this way towards her? I asked my wolf. I mean like ya she was really pretty and smart but I thought I would have some one from another pack for a mate

technically she is from another pack and she is your mate go to her she needs you to lesson the pain. he replied.

so out of instinct I went to her

Alex's p.o.v.

I sensed some one come up to me. I then felt tingles I knew in an instant that it was my mate.

the burning stopped and the pain lessoned, but I still felt pins and needles. I opened my eyes to see that my vision was sharper I could also see farther. then I started hearing things, things that were tiny and far away like the flapping of wings form across the lake, a mouse scurrying across the dead leafs a kilometer away. I then realized that all of my senses were sharper and better. I stood up on all 4's and looked down.

I saw 4 white paws . I looked up and saw every one gaping at me. I turned to the mirror my katie gave me I ........I looked like a fox.

oh no this can't be happening . all the legends they can't be true. I thought

then a voice came up in my head.

sadly they are true. your are the wolf fox from the legends. It said. my name is Wendy by the way .

I got passed a towel and I turned into human form. everyone was staring at me either shocked or proudly or in disbelief. I then noticed I was in a middle of a circle. my sister told me the packs wold do this to see who your mate was. you stand in the center and then follow the most intoxicating smell you would ever find. and then you would know right away who was your mate.

I closed my eyes and stood still. then it hit me. the smell was indescribable. it was pine mixed with a fire and freshly cut grass. for a second I thought some ones lawn mower caught on fire in the woods. but the smell was coming from the opposite side, away from the woods. so I followed it until I bumped into a hard chest. opened my eyes and saw that I was standing in front of carter.
