'Connor, please promise me this'. If it's something I can't promise you, then I don't know if I can directly promise you anything , but I will try. 'Okay, just promise that high school won't ever change our friendship , even if it changes us, promise you'll always be my best friend .' He doesn't reply but starts to tear up and then just gives his depressed little smirk that always gave me some type of feeling .
Bowie: Connor is my best friend since I could remember , we grew up together, but we were nothing more than friends . His mom and mine were close friends growing up . I couldn't imagine my life without my best friend , but now that we're going to high school, I don't know what's going to happen to us ; if we'll be distant friends , more than friends , or what . All I know is , he means more to me . He was always the one who would beat a boy up if he broke my heart , always backed me up in fights , especially the one where he didn't know I could fight , but ended up breaking my wrist from punching to hard . He's been there for everything .
Connor: I grew up with Bowie and we've been inseparable ever since . I can honestly say she is my best friend , I've been there through her parents divorce , through all her fights and lemme tell you , she's a lover and a fighter , through all her break ups , everything . I just don't know what high schools is going to do to us , make us closer , distant or maybe something more . But I can say I do ... That's to much , but she'll always be my best friend .
