Welcome to my mind, I'm Emma Jones. I know the title says "Emma Holmes" but that's just my nickname. I havn't had a very good life and continue to not have one. My dad died from cancer and my step-dad kicked me out of the house when I was 12. I went to an orphanage and lived there for 3 years, and then they were going to kick me out but "surprise surprise" my saviour Mrs.Smith took me in. So here I am in a car, waiting to see my new home.
I swallowed my mint as Mrs.Smith exclaimed "We're here! Please take your bag inside. Derrick will show you your new room." I walked into the door, gazing at the decor and soft green walls. It was quite nice, far nicer than the orphanage. I turned my gaze to the left as I saw a tall boy about my age walk in. He was nicely built and had brown hair. The thing that really caught my was his eyes, so dark and mysterious.
"Hey, I'm Emma." I said trying to sound cool. Just as he opened his mouth another boy walked in. He was skinny and had big green eyes. His hair was blond and messy.
"Yo, I'm Derrick." The blond who is apparently Derrick said. "This is Christian, my best friend. Follow me if you want to see your room."
"Nice meeting you Christian!" I called back to him as Derrick led me downstairs into a room.
It had grey walls, a double bed with purple covers and a walk in closet. There was a desk too, but it was covered in bags.
"Wow, this is my room?" I said, still flabbergasted at the fact that I would be given this room when I barely knew them.
"Yep all yours, those bags have everything you'll need." He said like it was nothing special.
I hopped onto the bed , I mean, my bed. As soon as I hit the softness I remembered the lumpy bed I would sleep on in the orphanage and how I never had a good sleep. As soon as the thought of sleep hit me I dozed off.
Sorry for not a very long chapter! I'm working on a schedule and still improving my writing skills so bare with my awfulness!
