Dean x Reader

Honey why you callin me so late?

Dean woke up to the ringing of his phone and looked over to make sure it didn't wake Lisa up. He picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?" He whispered

"Dean?" The person on the line said

"(Y/n)." He breathed out

It's kinda hard to talk right now

He walked out of the room and made sure to be quiet.

"(Y/n) why are you calling me?" Dean asked and heard you take in a breath.

"I just, it's been hard ever scene Sam you know." You said and he rubbed the back of his head "Then you staying with Lisa and having no contact with me it's been to much."

"(Y/n) you know I had to do it." He said

Honey, why you crying is everything okay?

He heard you crying on the other end and felt his throat tighten.

"It's just not fair. I know I shouldn't be bitching about this. But you and Sam are all I have and now you're both gone." He walked outside and looked at the sky

"I know but it's what's best to keep you safe." Dean said and could feel his eyes watering

"Is it to keep me safe or to keep you from falling apart when you see me?" You asked and he swallowed

"Both." He said and the tears he was holding back fell.

He looked down and wiped the tears away. He heard talking in the background and got concerned.

"What's going on?" He asked

"I gotta go, got a case now. I love you Dean." You told him and he looked back at the house and at the window to see Lisa looking at him.  They both started at each other for a moment.

Dean looked away from her and at the ring on his necklace. "I love you too (Y/n). Be safe okay?" He said

"I'll try but you know how these things are." You told him with a sad chuckle.

"Call me after." Dean said and headed to the door.

"I will bye Dean." You said

"Bye angel." He said and you hung up.

But girl you make it hard to be faithful

He walked into the room and Lisa looked at him  "Who was it?" She asked

"Just Bobby wanted to know how I was doing." He said

"At three o'clock in the morning?" She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him skeptically

"He's on a business trip different time zones." Dean lied and got into bed. Lisa followed him and cuddled into his side

"Alright goodnight Dean." She said and looked at him

"Goodnight Lisa." He said

"I love you." She said and started to fall asleep

"Me too." Dean replied and looked at the photo of you two on his phone

"I love you too." He said as he looked at the picture of you. "Always"
