Losing touch with reality

"Yes... I understand. He has been showing his...powers for a while now ever since the girl and him became friends. It was a foolish plan having them both grow up together. Your plan is insane. If we don't do something soon, he's going to explode...ok sir I'll follow through with the plans as normal. I'll update you if anything else happens" I sighed as I hung up on the director, honestly I'm a professional assassin and I've been reduced to this! I heard a floorboard creak behind me and I spun around quickly, I relaxed when I seen that it was only Yuna. "What are you doing here? Get back to bed don't you know how late is?!" She didn't move and looked at me with a strange look in her eyes, one I had only seen in agents that had been in the field for too long "who were you talking to?" A dark shadow fell across her face and her eyes seemed to pierce through the darkness "n-none of your business go back to sleep" she moved closer until I had backed myself up against the wall, she grabbed my hand and stood completely still. I yanked my hand out and stepped around her cautiously, she looked up and whispered "you've not gone long left....traitor" then she collapsed on the floor, traitor? God I hate that power of hers it's so damn creepy. I picked up her small body and tucked her back into her bed. She will need to be terminated soon along with Feitan, unfortunately I couldn't see any other way around it, their getting stronger by the day and Feitan has started killing so it's only a matter of when Yuna will start again.....

Yuna p.o.v

I've been having so many bad dreams ever since the incident with Feitan and I don't understand why...I wonder if it's because my powers are getting stronger but what does it mean? The chain user is my most frequent dream along with a great fire and screaming and then there's others, but those two are the main ones that are coming every night. I've started writing a dream journal to keep track of everything and hope that it can somehow piece together something that will help me understand the dreams better but so far nothing has come to light.......

The dream

The setting has changed but only slightly, it's raining heavily and we appear to be in some sort of building, I'm alone with two other people, a girl with glasses and a guy with blonde hair. It's tense as if we're expecting something, Feitan and a tall guy in a tracksuit fly in through the window, Feitan is a lot older now. I look into a puddle by my feet and notice I'm also a lot older, everyone looks ready to fight in a flash,then it happens. Chains burst through the walls and we all dive out the way to avoid them but the blonde guy isn't so lucky. There doesn't seem to be any sound but I know I'm shouting something, the blonde guy turns to me with eyes wide in fear then moments later he's ripped apart by the chains. A series of explosions start to shake the building and we all exit the way Feitan and the other guy came in. I sailed through the air for a met before crashing to the ground and rolling to break the impact then stood back up. The girl with glasses had something sticking out her stomach then the chains came back and wrapped around her body,I ran forward but something pulled me away and kept pulling me back till we were far away from the girl. When we stopped moving I realised that it was the tall guy that had picked me up and ran with me, we were hiding in a dark alleyway. The tall guy began to phone someone but I couldn't hear the conversation or anything apart from the rain. Feitan leaned against the wall on the opposite side, with no expression except his eyes seemed to be in pain, he glanced over at me but quickly looked away when our eyes met. I stared at the ground for the remaining time and then light seemed to break through everything.

Back in reality

I woke up gasping, I looked around and found I was safe...nothing was right though, in the past few weeks the aura surrounding the orphanage had darker and seemingly deadlier. The trees out back seemed to whisper in anticipation as if they new something was wrong. It scared me and I couldn't tell Feitan. I curled back up in bed and tried to fall asleep and in a few short moments my eyes closed and darkness filled my vision until a light brought me back to the place I didn't want to be.

The other dream

I was standing outside a burning building, it was dark all around but the fire lit everything up, I dropped whatever I was holding and ran inside, I still know why but there was something or someone that needed my help. The place had some familiarity but I don't know where I had seen it before. Screams could be heard all around me but I didn't care, I ran around till I was outside and facing the back of the orphanage but that would mean that the burning building was...the orphanage...I seen Feitan standing with his back to me and I raced over and hugged him tighter than ever before, relief over whelming me until he pushed me away and the flames lit up his face. He was smiling but it wasn't a friendly smile it was something else, he tilted his arm back then moved it forward and a pain arose from my stomach, I looked down to see blood pouring out me. I looked up at him before a fuzzy darkness blocked my vision and darkness swirled around me in different shapes. What is going on?!

Back in reality

Feitan p.o.v

I was coming back through the forest from my meeting when I hear Yuna's screams from inside the orphanage, I quickened my pace until I was close enough to hear what she was screaming
"HE WOULDN'T DO THAT! STOP! I DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS ANYMORE!" It then went silent and her quiet sobs that she was obviously trying to muffle could be heard. Where the hell was everyone else? I wandered in and she sat up and looked at me, neither of us spoke "your really going to do it aren't you?" She looked down and fidgeted with the covers "what?" I was confused, do what? "Your going to do it and there's going to be no way of stopping you" I frowned and sat down on the side of her bed "what are you talking about idiot?" She shook her head and smiled but I wasn't convinced "bad dream, it doesn't matter" she was hiding something but I didn't have time for this. Tonight would be the night when it all went down.
