I'm not continuing with this story sadly, but I thought why not publish this cute little chapter.
I wrote this in June of 2013 as my potential 5th chapter, pretty ancient. Hope you enjoy this random fragment of Titanium, sorry this story never worked out, but I loved writing it!

Belle

I bit on the soft skin of my upper lip as the faint rushing of the wind continued to flutter my hair around my face.

The wind had felt pleasant at first but it was starting to become a nuisance. So to satisfy my thoughts I rolled down my window; sighing in relief as my hair stopped its continuous fluttering. I toyed with the tips of my curls awkwardly as the silence carried on. All I could hear was a slight tapping from a bird on the windshield and Niall's frequent coughs. As I peered at him I noticed that he wasn't looking any less awkward than I must be.

His posture was stiff and he seemed to be staring into space; barely paying attention to the rode, his mind elsewhere. One of his hands were wrapped tightly onto the steering wheel the other hanging limply out of the rolled down car window. He began to fidget awkwardly just like I have been. The silence was beginning to make me feel uncomfortable so I decided to keep myself occupied. I hadn't realized until now that despite the fact that I was sitting in Niall's car; I had no idea what it looked like.

I took a load of my surroundings, surprised at what I was taking in. His car was even tidier than my best friend Iris', and she's a clean freak. Unlike Harry, who kept what ranged from left-over subway to sports magazines sprawled down on his car floor, Niall hardly had any dust laying around.

To be honest if I had a car it wouldn't even be this neat! Even the windows were polished to perfection! Either this kid pays someone to do his cleaning for him or he's just some insane perfectionist.

" So..you keep your car pretty neat." I noted as I smirked at him, finally breaking the silence.

My words must've snapped him out of his thoughts because he looked lost for a few moments. But as his vivid blue eyes met mine a grin suddenly took over his face. Next thing I knew he was laughing so loud and hard I was afraid that he'd crash his car into the one in front of us.

"Um..was it something I said?" I asked him; raising an eyebrow. He nodded his head as he let out a final deafening bellow of laughter. I pursed my lips as he wiped the tears of laughter from his eyes.

"Me neat? Never in your wildest dreams. My messiness sickens my mum to the point where she finds herself cleaning my car while I'm asleep." Niall replied; chuckling.

Well that makes sense. He didn't exactly seem like the tidy type...but wait.

"You live with your mum?" I said in a teasing tone, poking him in the chest as he drove a turn.

I couldn't help but giggle as Niall's face turned tomato red. He refused to meet my eyes.

"Well um yeah I might not seem like someone who does but  I haven't really thought about moving out yet." He mumbled faintly; seeming embarrassed. I suddenly felt guilty. I didn't mean it in the way he seemed to have interpreted it.

I bit my lip as I fumbled around in my bag for my handy pocket mirror. I hadn't checked on my appearance since our "date" and I bet you 1,000,000 pounds I look ridiculous. As soon as I pulled open the mirror I felt myself cringe. My plain brown eyes looked worn out as they stared back at me. It seemed obvious that my makeup was in shambles. What were once curls had transformed into matted zigzags. I dropped my mirror in surprise as Niall spoke unexpectedly.

"Don't worry yourself Belle you're beautiful." Niall said in a hushed tone, his earnest looking blue eyes piercing straight into mine.

I gulped as I felt my cheeks heat up. I've only been on one "date" with him and he's been so heartfelt. As I stared at the ground a sudden loud beeping sound reverberated throughout the car. I felt my head jerk up in surprise as Niall lurched the car forwards.

"What just happened?" I asked Niall in a breathy tone. He wore an annoyed expression on his face as he began to render a few vulgar swears.

"Fucking ducks are they asking to be run over?" Niall said in a gruff tone. I felt myself giggling uncontrollably. I was thinking that he might have almost got into an accident or something...ducks weren't exactly what I was expecting to hear.

"Leave the ducks alone." I sang, smirking at him. He sent me a crude scowl that was rather a joke or intentional. Wow this boy must have some past trauma of ducks that I'm unaware of.

"Leave the ducks alone." Niall quipped in an extremely high pitched voice; clearly mimicking me. I scrunched up my face in fake annoyance as  I lightly slapped his arm.

His shining blue eyes suddenly met mine, and I felt a rush of realization.

There was something about Niall, that was so gentle yet mesmerizing, I couldn't quite explain it. But whenever I was around him I felt this comforting sense of familiarity, as if I were at home.

I believe what I began to feel, was love.

Note:
Thanks for reading this final snippet! I wrote this story between the ages of 13 and 14, and I am currently 17. I've realized now that the plot of this story is very messy, Niall was a  terrible person in the first chapter! Who in the hell would fall in love with their rapist?? But despite that first chapter, I really enjoyed writing the rest. Thank you so much for the reads and I hope you have an amazing day or night! ♡
