I pulled back, connecting the dots rather quickly. As soon as I completed the puzzle, my eyes snapped towards the door.
"Dammit, Grell! Why do you have to ruin my happiness?!" I cried as Hyori crumpled to the floor, bleeding.
Dieing, as the crimson-clad reaper, who threw the jagged blade embedded in Hyori's spine, cringed at my words and leaned heavily on the doorway.
"S-Sebb-" he squeaked.
"No," I interrupted angrily," Leave, you jealous prick!"
Grell's eyes grow enlarged with tears as I knew next to my darling Lady Nikita.
"I...I just... Wanted you for myself..." Grell whispered sadly.
"Then you're selfish and greedy. Didn't I tell you to leave?!"
Even I thought I sounded too harsh.
Grell grabbed at his face, trying to hide his tears as he fled the room.
"Ugh..." I frowned as I focused my attention on Hyori Nikita.
My long-time love, if only manifested minutes ago.
"Seb-bastian...??" She mumbled.
"Darling, don't speak. I have to take you to the infirmary. You have to h-"
"No. Sebastian... I can't... can't heal. That's... You've gotten what you wanted. You got a kiss. You got my heart. Now, please... Let me take my leave..."
Her wound was red, deep, and horrible.
She was going to die if we didn't go now.
"But... I have to take y-"
"I said no, Sebastian. I don't want to be here. It's too much for a... Little soul like me..." She chuckled, causing her body to be racked with pain.
"No, Hyori! I love you! I didn't want your heart!! I wanted you to truly love me! That doesn't take your heart - that requires your..."
My eyes widen.
"No."
Her eyes glaze over and soften. Near death.
"Yes, Sebastian. You require my soul."
She leaned up to me slowly, placing a small peck on my lips before laying back down on the blood-soaked carpet and closing her eyes.
"I love you, Hyori..."
"I love you, too, Sebastian... I always have. I always will."
And she was gone. Soon, a cold tear of realization slips down my pale cheek.
