Luther knew that Quidditch was the best way forget about your problems. Yet, for some odd reason, as he and his three best friends made their way to an old tire, with Dra-Geduld and Kraggedagte Upendo, he couldn't help but feel an emptiness in his gut.

Calliah should be here.

Takara and Kamaria were far ahead, Kyp walking beside him, and the Upendo adults lagging behind. The brisk morning air was enough to make even the thick skinned Takara shove her hands into her coat pockets.

"Calliah should be here," Kyp said, breaking the long term silence. "I know what Kam's tryna do for us, but Calliah really should be here."

Luther glanced down at his shoes and sucked in a shaking breath. When he blew out, he could see the cold air swirling away from his mouth. He didn't know what to say. What could he say?

"Yeah, well, she's not Kyp," was all he could muster, and added quickly, "So we should try to have fun."

Kyp put his hand on Luther's shoulder.

"We'll find her. I promise."

"I never want to travel by Port Key ever again," Takara groaned, clenching her stomach. She ran away from the group and hide behind a tree. Luther watched Kamaria cringe as the grotesque vomiting sounds of a witch who had never traveled magically before. Kyp, with a light and airy laugh, jogged over to Takara and stood behind her, rubbing her back.
"Just let it out, darlin'. Just let it out."
Takara looked up at him with a look that could murder. Luther felt a shiver run up his spin, having seen that look far more times than any of the four friends, but Kyp just laughed again, throwing his head backwards. He tried to help her stand, but she pushed him off of her, trying to hide her own smile.
"I don't need your help, Kiollsig," she said, attempting to scowl at her friend, but to very little avail. Kyp' smile was the most contagious. The Upendos, after straightening themselves out, rushed over the the girl, offering her water and food and other things of that sort. After reassuring them that she was fine, the group continued on their way. When they came upon the Muggle entrance keeper, or whatever they were called, Takara and Luther attempted (and failed) to stifle laughs as the Upendos tried to communicate with the man. Kamaria was pursing her lips, an amused look in her eye. Kyp didn't seem to be paying attention. He wore his usual smile, but his eyes looked vacant, like he was thinking about something else, something that made him sad.
Luther's amused smile faded into a look of concern. He'd often asked Kyp what was wrong, but he'd never been given an answer. Not to mention, Luther wasn't the best with dealing with his own emotions, let alone helping people with theirs. That's where Kam came in. She was the emotional help. She was the one who held him after Calliah went missing, the one who fabricated lies for her friends if they needed a day off, the one who always knew how everyone was feeling. She probably knew what Kyp was thinking now. Luther knew he couldn't do what Kam could, but he would try anyone.
Once the Upendos managed to get past the Muggle, Kam and Takara pushed ahead again and Luther fell behind to walk with the ever smiling Kyp.
"You okay, man?" Luther asked. Kyp turned to him, broadening his smile.
"Why wouldn't I be? I've got my best friends with me and I'm going to see the Quidditch World Cup. What more can I want?" Kyp asked. If Luther hadn't known Kyp for as long as he had, he would have believed him. Luther didn't know what else to say. Before he could even think about it, Kraggedagte announced that they had arrived at their tent.
"This is it?" Takara asked, probably a little meaner than she had meant to, but her surprise wasn't far fetched. The outside of their tent looked like a ratty green tarp hanging over a stick.
"Not just yet, Darling," Dra-Geduld said, amusement in her voice. She opened the tent flap. Kraggedagte entered first, Kamaria behind him. Takara went in, and after her, Kyp. As Luther entered, he heard their reactions.
"Oh."
"My."
"Gosh."
It was rather often that Luther forgot that Takara and Kyp were raised as muggles. He himself was used to stuff like this, all the magic and other things that came along with it. Luther scoffed and rolled his eyes, pushing through the two gawking friends and flopped onto the elaborate couch.
"Peasants."
Takara scowled. She crossed her arms. Without saying a word, she marched over to Luther and sat straight on his stomach. The sound he made would have been funny enough, but, upon the sudden weight of Takara's entire body caused the poor Gryffindor boy to fart. Kyp was on the ground laughing in seconds, pounding the ground with his fist, tears rolling down his face. Kamaria giggled quietly. Takara wore a proud smirk on her face. When Luther realized that there was chance that Takara was going to get off, he pushed her onto the floor, where she started to laugh almost as hard as Kyp was. Luther wanted to be angry with them, but they looked so happy, and it wasn't often that Takara laughed in such a way. So instead, he stuck his tongue out and crossed his arms, turning his nose to the ceiling.
"Alright, my children, come to breakfast," Dra-Geduld said, sending an amused look her husband's way. Kamaria bent over to help Kyp up, while Takara stood herself (Kamaria had long ago stopped attempting to help Takara up. The girl refused help of any sorts). The four of them walked towards the dining room.
The entire inside of the tent was decorated as the Upendos house in Egypt. Elegant rugs lay in every room, vibrant colours splattered the walls, and the smell of burning incense floated around the many rooms. It was almost as if they'd been transported to Egypt, not some grassy hill in the UK. Sitting down at the dining room table, Luther felt an odd sense of culture shock as he looked down at the bowls of cereal. The Upendos often fed them fancier foods in the morning, sometimes bacon or pancakes or another typical Egyptian breakfast, but this morning, it seemed as if they went dow  the simpler path.
Luther watched Kyp, who was the foodie of the bunch, as he entered the dining room. He looked almost insulted that there was cereal in front of him. He probably hadn't meant to make a disgusted face, as he always preferred the fancier delicacies, but a disgusted face he did make. Dra-Geduld laughed and pulled a seat out for him.
Takara, who was already shoving spoonfuls into her mouth, rolled her eyes.
"Get over yourself, Kiollsig. This is a normal Jomei breakfast."
Kyp sat and are the cereal rather unwillingly, but ate it none the less. The only thing that could be heard for the next five minutes was the scattered crunching of different types of cereal from the six people in the room.
"So, how's your sister, Kyp?" Kraggedagte asked after they finished.
"She's okay. She was mad at first when she thought she wasn't coming and I was, but then one of the Ministry blokes invited her. I think they're dating. We might see her tonight," Kyp said with his usual smile.
"And your parents?"
The smile faded for half a second, just long enough for everyone to notice, but he painted it back on with a shake of his head.
"Dad's busy for the next couple of days and Mum doesn't like Quidditch."
After he finished, there was a few seconds of utter silence, a few seconds of eternity, before Takara changed the subject to something lighter.
"What about your siblings, Lu? I bet they were just furious," she said with a grin on her  face. Luther set his spoon down and swallowed before he started laughing. Luther sent a quick glance to Kyp, who's smile was just the curl of his lips and nothing more.
"Daniel, as you know, is coming on important Ministry business, but Tamana and Ethel were just fuming when they heard. They begged and pleaded to be allowed to go, but Mother and Father said it interfered with their Beuxbatons plans next semester. Not to mention, my parents don't really want to 'spend that kind of money on a stupid game where they throw balls through hoops and hit each other with sticks'," Luther said.. This earned a few chuckles from the Upendos and their daughter, a triumphant exclamation from Takara, and a slightly more real smile from Kyp. That was enough for Luther.
