'Sabrina, breakfast!' My mum shouted from down stairs.
'Coming!' I shouted back, grabbing my bag as I went down to where my mum is.
Entering the kitchen, my mouth drooled when the smell of my mum's famous homemade pancakes spread to across the room. My tummy growled as I sat down. She puts some pancakes on my plate, I started eating and not letting a single piece of it not enter my mouth.
'Are you excited honey?' Mum blurted out while siting down beside me with a cup of coffee in her hands.
Excited? You've got to be kidding me? Why does everybody get so excited when they enter senior high school it's just another year filled with books, assignments, projects and annoying voices of the teacher. What's so exciting about that?
'Mum, we talked about this already. High school isn't really that exciting. You just go to school, learn new lessons, graduate and then off to College. The end.' I finished drinking my milk. Yeah, call me childish but who cares, milk is my thing.
'I'm just saying that high school is the time you children go out and explore the world. Discover new things and meet new people that can become new FRIENDS.' She stated emphasizing the word "friends".
'Whatever you say mum. Well, I'll get going now before the bus leaves.' Kissing my mothers forehead I made my way out of the house.
'Bye honey, have a safe ride. Good luck on your first day. Love you.' She said standing between the door frame waving her hands.
Just in time, the bus was about to leave. I climb in, took my seat. I got my iPod and earphones, plugged it and I just listened to the music on the way to school.
---
'Good morning Miss Williams. Here is your class schedule and books that you'll be using for the whole school year. I hope you have a great year here in Thompson High.' said the guidance counselor.
I thanked her and walk towards my first subject.
Looking at the piece of paper she gave me. WHAT?! seriously? My first subject is math? I internally screamed.
Knock knock
The teacher opened the door and let me in. All their attention landed on me. I hate being noticed.
'Class, may i have your attention please.' dumb teacher, we already got it. Look at them. Staring at us, specifically me. 'We have a new student here joining us. Miss, please do introduce yourself to the class.' she said.
I took a deep breath and stood in front of them. Stay calm Sab. It's your first day it's normal to be nervous. I said to myself. 'Good morning everyone my name is Sabrina Williams, 17. Nice to meet you'll. ' after that dreadful introduction, i took a vacant seat in the last row next to the window.
The rest of the day went like a blur. As I was about to head to my locker which I had a hard time finding because poor little Sabi doesn't have sense of direction. I noticed a petite girl a few lockers away struggling to open her locker. I had an internal battle with myself if i would help her or just do my business. But since i'm a nice person, i walked towards her.
'Um hey. Not to be rude and all but i saw you struggling to open it, so do you mind if I help you?' I asked the girl politely as I can. She turned towards me and gave me a big goofy smile.
'Oh my gosh. Thankfully someone noticed. Sure you could help cause I really need it.' Up close she is somehow pretty cute. Having those long curly red hair. Quite some freckles on her cheek. She almost look like Ron's sister from Harry Potter.
'I'm Mindy by the way. Mindy Stevens.' she introduced herself.
'Oh, my name's Sabrina Williams. Just call me Sab or Sabi.' I said shyly as i successfully opened her locker. She look at me for a second and realize that i was the new student in her English class earlier. After she thanked me i thought she would leave but to my surprise.
'Hey, do you want to grab lunch with us?'
'Us?' I asked confused. 'Yeah, well since you helped me with this god forsaken locker. I now consider you as my friend. So, do you want to go?' i was shocked. Me? her friend?
'But if you have other plans-'
'YES. Um i mean sure. I don't really know anyone here in particular. But are your friends okay with me joining? Well um i don't really want to pry and all.' I said. looking down. It would be so awkward if i would go and they won't want me there. What if they don't like me. Oh my gosh this is to stressful.
She smiled at me and pulled me through the crowd entering the cafeteria. We stopped for a brief moment while she looks for someone which I conclude, her friends.
'MINDY!' a girl nearly shouted waving her hands just two tables away from where we are standing. Mindy then drags me towards them. There were two people sitting and one was the girl who called her.
She frowned as she looked at me. Oh boy. 'Who's she?' pointing towards me still frowning. Mindy looked at me before swatting the girls hand that was pointing at me. 'Don't be rude Jen. She's the new student i told you about a while ago after you ditched me.' the girl she called Jen automatically stood up and apologize to me.
'Gosh i'm so sorry. My names Jennie Lennon.' she said and then apologize once again.
'It's fine. My name is Sabrina Williams.' I gave her a genuine smile. She then introduced to me their other friend. Katie Lim. Jennie has such beauty, she has a slightly blondish hair that reaches her waist. She's tall too. She could be mistaken for a model. Katie is also pretty with her shoulder length black hair and cute face.
We started eating while the three indulge in a conversation about a boy named Kevin.
'So Sabrina-' Katie started 'Just call me Sab.' i insist. She smiles and continued. 'So ''SAB'' are you going to the party next weekend?' a party? I never went to a party. They're just waste of time. The only thing you do is get drunk, flirt, get drunk, do stupid things and oh did i mention getting drunk?
'I don't know. I never really been to one.' i said shyly waiting for them to laugh at me. But to my surprise they didn't. As a matter of fact they want me to come with them.. 'But i don't know what to wear or where the party is. Maybe um next time.'
'Come on Sab, live a little. We promise it's going to be fun and don't worry about your outfit or any of what you said and leave it to us. Well, we'll see you later. I still have Geometry class which sucks.' the bell rang indicating that lunch is over. We switched numbers and bid our goodbyes. I never really thought that at my first day I would meet people like them. So much for wanting to be invisible the whole school year. I strode to the hallway heading towards my last class for today which is P.E. It's not obvious but i'm a very active person when it comes to sports or outdoor activities.
Interring the locker room scurried over to a vacant bench and started changing into my p.e uniform consist of a white t-shirt that has a logo of our school and black shorts that reached my mid-thigh that is basically to short for me but I have no choice. I tied my hair into a ponytail and put on my black snickers
Our gym teacher blows her whistle to get everyone's attention. 'Okay since this is your first p.e session we will start with the warm ups and after that we're gonna play Volleyball.' she stated and blew the whistle again.
At that very moment the door slammed open and two guys, um well ridiculously hot looking guys enter at the same time. Not bothering to even greet the teacher.
