Melanie sat on her bed, bored out of her mind, there was nothing to do here, not at home.

She stood up and walked over to her window.

The pale light of the moon stretched a walkway from her bed to the window.

Melanie had always loved the night, studying the stars watching the moon, it was her favrioute pastime.

She inhaled deeply, only to cough, her brother was smoking cannabis again.

Melanie didn't understand why he did it, he was bound to get caught by there mother, sorry drunken mother, there isn't really a time now when mother isn't drunk.

We understand tho, who wouldn't drink themselves to nothing if you found out the man you devoted your life to, gave up your career for, gave everything to, was out for sex with other women.

Now, what we don't understand is why father keeps going out, we all know. But why go out when he can fix mother, who will knock some sense into Luke, which will help me with my deppression.

Our image was the only thing that keeps mother sane, you see everyone thinks that we're perfect but well... take a guess.

Family picture day is the only day father is home and mother is sober, the only day we feel like a family, even tho it's only a camera taking a photo it makes us all feel connected.

A day in the life, living in my house... or dollhouse? Yeah dollhouse. Pretty and perfect on the outside, dark and demented in the inside.
