If only we could tell what was behind the shell.
The voices trapped behind a mask.
Always tend to talk to themselves,
Always running that task.
What lies behind that curtain of joy is a mystery,
Maybe they're hiding a bad life with a terrible history?
One of pain and guilt.
Forced to act like the others,
Even when your world will tilt.
Being on the edge but simply not showing,
But the desperation in those eyes still glowing.
You hide what the others should hear.
This troubled darkness,
This troubled fear.
Take off that mask,
Let it be clear.
You have a voice.
Let us hear.
You have the right to let it out
No need for violence
No need to shout.
A shell that you refuse to break,
The risk you refuse to take.
Let it out.
Let it be heard.
There is a difference we can make.
