A Surprising Twist (Part 1)

I am the new girl at school. My name is Sarah. I am dreading having to start this year. I am in grade 8 but I was perfectly fine at my old school. I was in the popular group and I had so many friends. But now, I have moved to Campbell Town. I don't know anyone here! Can't wait! Dad got a promotion in work, so we had to move here. I am a singer, so my parents have enrolled me into 'Campbell Town Performing Arts School' I can't wait (NOT). Mum decided that It will be best for me to start now, before the Christmas Holidays so that I can make some friends. School only has 2 weeks left, I don't get the point. But, mum believes that it is a fantastic idea!

We turn up at the school gates, mum gives me a big kiss on the cheek and I push her off me! Mum! Luckly, I don't think anyone saw. I need to make a first impression, and I don't want everyone to think that i'm a mummies girl! You can leave now mum, goodbye! This school has a program where new kids are given a buddy, the buddy is going to be in all of the same classes as them. They will show them to all their classes, help them find their way around the school, show them where their lockers are etc. I have been buddied with a boy. Great! Just what I wanted. I am terrible at talking to boys. Every time I try to talk to a boy, especially a hot one, I sound like and idiot and go red.

I am introduced to my buddy. He says, Hi my names Jai Waetford. And I say um Hi, I'm sayrah ugh I mean Sarah. Jai giggles, he can tell I am nervous. See what I mean! I can't talk to boys! Jai shows me to my locker and we put my books away. He tells me to follow him to our first class, I trip and fall backwards. Wow, I am making such a great first impression. Oh, and did I mention, Jai is perfect! His hair, teeth, voice, body, smile. Everything about him is perfect! He catches me as I fall. Oh um thankyou I say. No worries, he replies. I see a girl coming up the stairs. She doesn't look very nice so I keep walking. She grabs Jai by the shirt, pulls his head down to meet hers and starts making out with him...
