When will people notice
Transparent tears slip down the cheeks of everyone
There are scars on everyone there is so much pain that society is numb
Its overwhelming and confusing
Cuts and blood
Art etched into skin
Beauty is only skin deep
But what happens when we expose flesh and let our insides run out
What if we no longer let this mind numbing society consume our attention?
What if we stopped crying?
These questions wont be answered because we're paying attention to bad news and human disasters
We live in a society where people are turning to suicide as an escape
Feeling there's no other choice than to be called "insane"
"They were just another basket case"
People will brush it off
Callous and ignorant
WHY!?
What do we have to do for a little remorse or sympathy?
We were told when we were young to love
And when someone died although we didn't understand tears would rush into our eyes and slide down our cheeks
Maybe it was better that way
