As much as you hated it, you knew at some point it was going to happen. It just hurt you that it's happening so soon. The wind blew through your hair, making it dance in the wind. You looked up at the full moon, the waves crashing in the background. You took a deep, calm breath and made your way down the long steps.
"I'm sorry," you told Steven, looking away from him. Steven had tears brimming,
"Please don't go!!" he shouted, hugging onto your waist. You shook your head and wiped away tears.
"I'm sorry, Steven. It's just, I promised Connie I would help her study. She's gonna let me sleep over then tomorrow I'm heading to the barn to visit Lapis and Peridot!!" you yelled, Steven hald you tighter.
"But I wanted us to experiment with new snacks and watch Lonely Blade!!"
You chuckled at his behavior.
"Steven, I promise when I get back we can do anything you want." you laughed.
"Promise?" Steven asked, wiping away tears.
"Promise."
