So Close, Yet So Far. . .

Chapter 1

It was summertime, you just graduated from high school, and you had huge plans this summer with your cousins. You and your cousins have been planning this Korea trip for over a year now, but things have changed along the way. You were still going to South Korea to explore the beautiful sites, but you were also moving there. Since you had been so fascinated about Korea and you were just about to graduate high school, you had also decided to apply to universities around Seoul, one of which you got accepted into. But one of the three main reasons why you were super stoked about Korea was that you'd see your favorite KPOP group, iKON.

Today was the day. Your cousins Tammie, Amy, Meena, and you were off to South Korea.

Once you woke up, you began to vlog your morning of chaos, which included getting ready and picking what to wear. Your outfit consisted of black leggings, a black shirt, a denim jacket with adidas (This is your outfit). You also finished packing your luggage, then headed off to the airport.

As you and your cousins finally make it to the plane, you begin vlogging about how excited you were seeing the plane's take off. Once the plane took off, all you could do was entertain yourself for thirteen hours by editing, watching movies/TV shows, sleeping and most of all, eating.

After a thirteen hour plane ride, you began to vlog your little adventure since you just arrived in South Korea. You grabbed your luggages and called a taxi to take everyone to your new apartment.

"I can't believe we are actually in South Korea!" you said in an excited tone.

Your cousins all agreed.

As we got to the apartment building, you guys couldn't help but be absolutely stunned about how you were really there in Korea. You stood there, staring at the apartment building you will be living in for the next couple of months.

As you guys headed towards the front desk, where you saw a pretty handsome young man sitting. From that angle it looked like he was watching a movie.

"Umm, excuse me." you said

Once he heard my voice, you could tell he was shocked because he jumped up from his seat.

"Ohhh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." you said with an apologetic expression.

"Oh, it's fine."

"I'm Y/N, by the way." you extended your hand to shake his.

"Oh it's nice to meet you, I'm Jae." then there was a slight moment of silence. "Ohh, you are moving in today? is that correct?"

"Yeah, I actually am." you said with a smile on your face.

"Okay, let me grab your keys and show you up to your new apartment."

As he headed towards the room in the back, my cousin began to talk about him.

"Omg, was he a cupcake?" Meena said with a huge smile on her face.

(A cupcake is a code word for cute boy)

"YES! He was totally into Y/N here." Amy said.

"Oh shut up, he was just helping us." you said.

Jae came back from the manager's office with the keys to the your apartment in his hand. Then, he led you guys to your new apartment. As we got to the apartment, Jae unlocked the door then opened it for us to walk inside.
