Janet Jackson

"I want this album to be different. It's not going to be the same as my old stuff. I feel that I've grown up a lot since I recorded Rhythm Nation. Things are different in my life now."I confessed to Jimmy.

"So what do you want it to be? What kind of music do you want to do?"Jimmy asked holding a look of curiosity on his face.

"I want to make sexier music. It's like I want this album to say, I'm a grown woman."I replied.

"Okay. So what do you have written so far."He asked with a different facial expression. An expression that showed me he understands.

"I have two written so far that I know for sure I want on the album." I answered, flipping through my notebook to look at the lyrics.

"Well, since you're here lets record them now."Jimmy shrugged and walked over to the board.

I hopped off of the table I was sitting on and walked into the booth.

I stood there for a minute because I had to think of how I wanted it to sound. This would be my first time singing the song in its entirety, so I had to make some last minute changes to the lyrics.

"Okay I'm ready."I said, giving a thumbs up to Jimmy.

"Sitting over here staring in your face with a lust in my eyes, sure I don't give a damn and you don't know that I been dreaming of you in my fantasies, Never once you looked at me don't even that I'm wanting you to fulfill my needs."I sang until Jimmy stopped me.

"I've got an idea. Maybe you sing it faster and in a deeper voice. It should have a rock vibe, kind of like Black Cat."He suggested.

"Okay. I'll start again."I said into the mic.

I ran it in my head first and started sing again. I knew I would have to record it again after we found the beat, but this take is just to see how it sounds.

"Alright Jimmy, let me hear it."I smiled walking out of the booth to take my spot on the table where I had been sitting.

He played the song back for me and I loved it. I loved the way the two us worked together, it's like we bounce ideas off of each other.

"What's going on with you Jan?"Jimmy asked, spinning his chair around so that we were face to face.

"What do you mean?"I asked, confused by the question.

"Well one day you're in here singing about never wanting to be in love again and now you're talking about what you would do to someone if you were their girlfriend. I know you, I know you write about what's going on in your life. Who is it?"He asked, tilting his head to the side.

"I'm just interested in somebody that's all. It'll probably never get any further than me being interested. I don't think he's my type honestly."I shrugged.

Don't get me wrong Tupac is fine as hell. He's a great person, but I don't think we would work. I've heard stories about him, but even though my mind tells me we wouldn't work, apart of me still wants to try.

-2 weeks later-

"Hey Tupac."I spoke as I walked out of my trailer.
He didn't answer, he just kept walking straight as if he didn't hear me.

Today was our last day of filming. I really hoped that he didn't have an attitude because I had to kiss him today and his attitude would mess that up.
