It was a long day at work and Camila was driving home. Her coworkers annoyed her to no end and she just wanted her get home and cuddle with her wife. Her wife. Thinking about her wife brought a dopey grin to her face. She thought Lauren was the most beautiful, selfless, extraordinary person in the entire world. They've been together for fourteen years today and every time she looks into those electric green eyes, she can see the love pouring out of them. Not one day does she second guess the thought of loving her forever.
"Hey, Lo. I'm home." Camila threw her bag on the dining room table and was met with an empty living room.
"Lo?" She peered into the kitchen, she was nowhere to be seen. She opened her phone, expecting a text saying she went to the store or was out with Dinah, but there was nothing.
"Laaauuureennnn?" She called out once again, a little irritated that she couldn't find her lovely wife.
Wandering back into the living room, she noticed a piece of paper taped the the television. It was an envelope. With her name on it. She pulled it off the television and ripped it open.My beautiful wife,
Hi. I love you. I know you've had a hard day at work and I want to make your day better. Since it's Monday, I want to end your Monday on a good note and start your week off well. Want to know why? Today is our fourteenth anniversary. Fourteen years of looking into those lovely eyes of yours. Fourteen years of listening you talk about the things your passionate about for hours. Fourteen years of kissing your soft lips. Fourteen years of whispering sweet nothings into your ear at four am while I watch you sleep and I know you can't hear me. Fourteen years of being in love with you. I've placed fourteen notes all around our house that you need to find. In those fourteen notes, hold the fourteen reasons why I love you. But believe me, there are many, many more reasons why. The last note will give you the fourteenth reason, and will lead you to where I am right now. Happy hunting my love!
~Lauren
