"Hah, easy kill." I pulled the straight pull bolt back, letting it pull back into place. The brass casing of the bullet dropped from the rifle and hit the ground, making a clinging sound. "Whenever I hear that, means it's another kill under my belt." I smirked before hearing the irritating voice of my brother in the coms. "Will you hurry up already, it's time to head back to base," he spoke in his typical worried voice. "Relax already, we've been doing this for years and you're still too cautious." That voice belonged to my sister, Allie, and my brother's name is Augustine. My name? I like to keep my name private, it's just who I am. I stood up, picking up the brass casing of the bullet first, and tucking it away into my pocket. "Bring back another trophy I see?" I turned quickly to see my best mate, Bryson Smith at the door. I could only laugh at the minor heart attack he nearly gave me, "Jesus, don't you know sneaking up on a sniper is a death wish??" "Only for the sniper." He smirked, walking down the stairs. "Extraction's here," Augustine spoke up, "let's get the hell out of here." I quickly picked up my sniper rifle, slinging it over my shoulder and hanging it there by the strap. As I walked out to join my squad, I could see the dark silhouette of a CH-53E super stallion helicopter, shining it's bright light over us. We all covered our eyes Of Course, to shield our eyes. As its wheels hit the ground, the passenger pilot slid the door open. Augustine was the first to board, followed by myself, my sister, and Bryson. The pilot then leaned to us, raising his voice in attempt for us to hear him over the chopper's blades, "Mr. Taylor would like a word with you four once we've arrived back at base, it's something really important." The four of us looked at each other with confusion and nodded. Callum Taylor was the leader and CEO of our little organization, and a meeting with him was serious business. Either we were in trouble, needed for a serious mission, or all of the above." The doors slid shut as the chopper began to take to the skies. I stared out of the window before being tapped by Augustine. "I always wondered, what kind of gun do you have?" "Oh this? Its a M98B sniper rifle, one of the best in my opinion." I spoke proudly of it, the side of the gun was marked with tick marks. Guess what those were for. So far, there were 54 tick marks, 55 once I mark tonight's kill. "M90..what now?" My brother struggled to ask, I snapped back with an annoyed expression, "Why are we related?" "You've got a lot to learn baby brother," Allie laughed, polishing her weapon. "What do you think general lard ass wants with us?" Bryson snickered at the question, "whatever it is, it might be serious, but what have we done wrong?" "Nothi-" "Exactly." He did have a point, hell, we were one of his best strike teams, probably on par with the Marines. I'm joking, no one can beat those guys. Whatever his reason for calling us in, we'll just have to find out for ourselves. I also neglected to tell you about this organization we're in. Basically, we're a secret branch in the military, tasked with taking out high profiled and valued targets such as drug cartel leaders, government officials, etc. This little organization is more secretive than black ops missions. We're about the size of a small army but don't worry, we're not terrorists and we probably wouldn't kill an innocent person, unless you had info or value of our best interests.  I closed my eyes and leaned my head back. "It's going to be a long ride, might as well take this opportunity for rest." In the silence, I began to sing a tune I came up with when I first began sniping, "I observe the battleground through my crosshair, test your luck with me if you dare. Because from a place you will not see, comes a sound you will not hear. Just know, death is here."
