I knocked on the door...
"Hello?" I asked curiously.
"Go away!" I heard a young voice cry.
"What's the matter? Are you hurt"
"NO! Just go away!"She screamed. - By Kara Smith
'Wow' I thought to myself as I put down a book. 'That was an abrupt finish'
I was reading through the stories that young authors had sent in for a competition my magazine was running, so far I had read about 10 out of the 100,000 stories. Gosh this is going to be a long weekend.
At the time, I had been working for 'Cozmic' magazine for 2 years, being the editing chief for around 6 months. It was good pay,as I earnt around $100,000 a year.
I loved the place, you could see practically the whole of London from my office, which I shared with my assisstant, Lucy. She was always one step ahead of me somehow,
so when I didn't know what i was doing, she would say 'You're supposed to be *insert task here* Kelsey'
and she'd put me back on track. I'd have been lost without her, she's my best friend, more than just an assisstant. We'd keep work life at work, and our friendship
outside the office. If that makes sense?
Anyway now you know a bit about my past, let's go sraight to the present...
