Venus | Chapter 2

... I finally pick up my phone, sadly only to see that my ex from 5 years ago is texting my phone. Why does he still have my number, what could he possibly want now?

Hey Venus, it's Tyler... i'm back in Baltimore, wondering if we could meet up again soon."

"Um, that's nice information, however i'm kinda busy right now, i'll text you later."

"If your not dying, you're going to text me now!"

 "This is why we broke up, your always so demanding and disrespectful. I'll text you whenever I feel like it... Bye!!!!!"

Brandon looks at me in concern as I start to get more and more frustrated with Tyler. I explain to Brandon that i'm ok and then we go into the movies. I'm pretty sure Brandon was about to ask me what movie I wanted to see, but I was just thinking a little too much about Tyler now. But I told Brandon it doesn't matter what movie we saw because i'm pretty much into everything. We ended up seeing The Purge. You know how the movie theater is, people scoot pass you to get to their seats. Little did I know that Tyler showed up at the same movie theater, in the same movie, in the seat right next to mine. I couldn't enjoy the movie after that. Every time I got up to leave for whatever reason, he got up too. So I finally confronted him in the hallway.

"Why are you here Tyler?"
"Look Venus, I still have feelings for you. They never went away."
"Shut up Tyler, i'm tired of you constantly lying to me."
"Look baby girl, your not going to talk to me that way" He basically threw me into the wall "I don't know if your on a date with that dude sitting next to you, but if you are, it's not going to last very long. You understand me?"
"Tyler, GET OFF OF ME!! Why are you all of a sudden trying to come back into my life, I don't like you anymore. And honestly I'm glad I don't because you are a HORRIBLE person!" Someone walks out of the room next to us and tells us to be quiet.
"You're going to regret saying that Venus, you're going to regret everything!!!"
Security comes and escorts Tyler out of the theater and I go back to the movie with Brandon. Honestly, I'm surprised that I didn't get escorted out too, but it's all good.
I walk back into the theater and sit down again. After I calm down, Brandon grabs my hand. He looks like there's something on his mind. I try to find something to say, but I feel like this isn't the best time to talk about it.

About 1 hour and 45 minutes later we leave the theater and go to the car. Brandon just starts to really look concerned. What could possibly be wrong? I finally find the words and ask him.
"Brandon, you look like somethings bothering you, may I ask what's wrong?"
"Well umm...."

"What's wrong Brandon. You can tell me, you can trust me."

"Ok, listen Venus. I like you a lot and I feel like if we are going to last, I have to tell you this."
"Tell me."
"Well umm.."
Brandon doesn't say anything for about 5 minutes. Because of that we just sit there in an awkward silence. Then he starts to stall on whatever he was about to say. I just slowly start to relax or else I will get too concerned and freak out.
About 20 minutes later, we still sit in silence. Those 20 minutes feel like 20 years. It's terrible. I deeply despise this feeling. You know, the feeling of being ignored by someone you love. I mean well, I barely know Brandon; but it just feels like we're going to last forever. But then again, I really don't know. Maybe we're sitting in silence because he doesn't like me. Maybe it's because he's keeping something from me. Ughhhh. I deeply hate this feeling.
We drive and keep driving. It feels like 5 years have passed by. Then we pull up somewhere. It's a house, I'm guessing it's Brandon's house. He gets out then he looks at me about to get out. He motions me to stop, so I do as told. He walks around and opens the door for me. He's really sweet, like how did I end up with someone as good as him. He looks at me and I follow him up the stairs. Then, he finally speaks.
"Venus?"
Oh god, I honestly hope he's not mad at me or wants nothing else to do with me.
"Yes Brandon?"
"Ok so about what I wanted to tell you earlier"
So I just stand there waiting. Patiently waiting for him to finish.
"Actually you should come in. I'd prefer to talk inside anyways"
As Brandon unlocks the door, the first thing I see is a mural on the wall. It's beautiful. I'm pretty much speechless about it.
"Venus come sit down. "
I sit on the couch. It's a dark blue suede couch. I think I have shoes that match this. Then Brandon walks in the room. He brings in a photo album. It has a pretty cover on it. He gives it to me and tells me not to open it yet. So, thats exactly what I do. I don't open it. I rest it on the couch next to me then I turn and look at Brandon.
