I Surrender

Chapter 3

BEEP BEEP BEEP... BEEP BEEP BEEP... BEEP BE...

"Ugh. I hate my alarm." I roll out of bed. I look at my phone to see that I have 5 new messages.

I quickly change and grabbed something to eat. I finished my morning routine and started to walk to school. I started to read my texts as I walked.

J: So are you done with your homework yet?
J: Are you sleeping?
J: Hello
J: Are you avoiding me?
J: Good night Sassy.
I rolled my eyes as I continued walking to school. I put my phone on vibrate then but it in my pocket.

My phone vibrated and grabbed it out of my pocket.
J: Do you want a ride to school or are you just going to walk.
Me: How do you know I am walking?
Jake: Look behind you Sassy

I looked behind me to see him driving towards me. I stopped walking and waited for him to pull up. He rolled down the window and said " What's a pretty lady like you doing walking the streets alone."

I silently laughed as shook my head. "Do you want a ride Sassy?!" I roll my eyes and get in the car. "Do you ever talk." I nod my head. "I will hear you talk if it the last thing I do!" I silently chuckle and shake my head. "Are you mute because otherwise I am worried, you don't even laugh out loud." I just shake my head.

We pull into the school parking lot. Once he parked the car I unbuckled and got out. As I walked towards the school everybody was staring at me. I didn't know why though. I went to my locker to see Andrea running towards me. "YOU KNOW JAKE AND YOU DIDNT TELL ME!" "Shhhh keep your voice down!" I whisper yelled. "You know Jake and you didn't tell me!!" She whisper yelled back. "He came up and talked to me at lunch." "That doesn't tell me why you were in his car this morning!" "I was walking to school and he came up behind me and offered a ride." I shrug and walk off to class.

When I got to my class I say down in my seat and finished the rest of my homework. The bell rang and the teacher walked in. I tuned her out after learning  that we are learning about revolutionary war. I was drawing in my notebook so it looked like I was taking notes.

After that class I went to drawing. Andrea was there like usual. She seemed to have let go of what happened this morning.

I went to lunch and grabbed my food. I say down at the same table as yesterday. When I finished eating I got up with my tray in hand when somebody grabbed my tray from my hands. I shook my head and sat down.

A few seconds later Jake is sitting right in front of me. "Hello Sassy how was lunch." I gave him a thumbs up and smiled. "I hate you know that." he said I took out my phone and texted him You don't hate me. You hate that I don't talk. He grabbed his phone and read the text. "You know me to well Sassy." the bell rang and I left Jake sitting at the table.

The day ended and I started to walk home. "Sassy wait up." I stopped and waited for Jake to catch up. "Where are you going." he said when he reached me. I texted him Home. He read it. He grabbed my arm and dragged me to his car. "Get in I will take there." I rolled my eyes and got in the car. He dropped me off at my house and drove off. I roll my eyes and go inside. I go to my room and take out my homework.

After I finish my homework I check the time to see that it is 10:30. I quickly take a shower and go to bed. As I am going to sleep a strange thought came to me. I think that I like Jake.
