I was recently searching for a book club when I stumbled upon one that was luckily open.  It was hosted by one of Wattpad's users, which is nothing unusual.  As I explored her profile page I saw a pole she was running on Twitter and thought it would be a good idea to participate.  However, when I read her pole I didn't understand it because she had written on her pole the title of her book and asked these questions:

Should I post my old chapters?

Should I leave it as it is?

Other, you must say.

Obviously, I didn't understand the pole, so I sent her a message and asked what the pole was about.  Then she told me her story. (To protect the identity of this user we will not disclose her username, so let's call her May.)

Two Wattpad users posed as book promoters and asked if they could share (May's) story on another platform.  (May) was thrilled and excited to know that other users were loving her story, so she accepted as long as she was rightfully credited, but instead this happened:  (We cannot disclose the usernames identities so they have been covered.)

(Notice that (May) has muted the conversation.  This is a feature that Wattpad has to protect you from harassment.  If a user harasses you, you can mute his/her conversation and the user can browse your stories and profile, but cannot comment on your wall or send you private messages again.)

As you can imagine this situation has been terrible for (May) and she has felt very insecure over posting anything new about her work thinking that these two predators might still be tracking her story.  The problem with the case is that (May) doesn't know where the story is posted.  She confronted the user several times, but the user would never say or respond her questions.

(Parts of the terrible conversation she had with the Predator.)
