Love's Strange Ways – Mahima
Vishal's P.O.V.
"Shreya push!" The doctors shouted.
I interlinked my hands with darling's. I could not bear the pain she was going through.
"Darling, please breathe. I am sure you can do this. See, I am here by your side holding your hands. You are completely safe," I consoled her.
She is still trying. Two years into our married life, after facing all those problems and now we are back.
Darling started gasping for oxygen; she could not do it. The doctors tried their level best but darling started to lose her energy.
The chief doctor walked up to me, "Sorry, Vishal, we can't help it but she is struggling. We can't force her anymore as she is weak. We are only left with the option of operating."
I glanced at Darling. The only way we could save her is to operate. "If that's what we should do, then do it!" I replied, not even glancing at the doctor.
"Sir, please leave!" A nurse pointed to the door.
I kissed darling's forehead and went out to wait for her operation to be over.
I walked up and down the aisle tensed about what was happening inside. Tension was filled in the thick air.
I looked at darling through the glass at the door. Clinical masks and tubes covered her whole body.
"Darling, please come back!" I prayed to god. My hands were trembling and was out of control.
Nurses walked in and out of the room. Two hours of hard work which was like a life time for me.
After the two hours which was the most important and busy hours in my life, a nurse turned up.
In her hands was a beautiful baby. The nurse was smiling at me. "You have a girl baby, sir!" She passed me the little creature.
It smiled at me. Oh God, she so resembles her mother. Her eyes were twinkling the same as darling's. I supressed a kiss.
That's it! I know what to name her. She is the magic in our life and her name will be Mahima.
