Zen and (Y/N) were just at the park sitting on a bench together. It was getting dark and they were just hanging out together. Zen finally got the day off and wanted to spend it with her.

"I'm happy for you, (Y/N). You finally found Jaehee a best friend and showed her how to have fun. But we need to spend more time together... ah aren't you happy?" Zen asked.

(Y/N) stayed silent with a slight blush. She looked ahead of her and seemed somewhat sad.

"I've always wanted to have a best friend, since I was younger... It's always been my dream. It's just... I kind of wish Jaehee was here too."

"Ah I see. Am I making you nervous?"

"Not really. Thought she did make me happy, it was still a shock. Since she's always been busy. I admire the happy and carefree side of Jaehee, yet I want to see more of that side..."

"What about me? Would you consider me as a best friend too?"

"I do, but I just miss Jaehee and it's been a few weeks since we last spoke. Honestly, I fell in love with her because she's a cute and hardworking sort of person. I feel selfish, for wanting to take up most of her free time."

"Jaehee doesn't want to be involved in a relationship." Zen said quietly. His voice was almost inaudible. He patted her back, but in response (Y/N) got up and started walking away. It was stupid of me to think she would like me back... she doesn't even have enough time for herself! I'm so selfish and inconsiderate. But she really doesn't want to be in a relationship? (Y/N) thought.

Zen followed and put his soft hand on her shoulder to make her stop. "Come on give me that cute smile."

Small drops of tears streamed down her face, as she looked down at the ground. Zen panicked for a brief moment, but he kept his calm collected self. He pulled his hand back.

"(Y/N), there is someone else who can fill in that gap. It's okay." Zen started patting her back, once more. She continued crying and shaking. It wasn't helping at all. His sweet well spoken words did no affect to the crying female. Zen couldn't stand it anymore and held onto her.

"I'm here. I want to be the one to wipe away your tears. I don't care what anyone else will say about this... So you don't have to cry from sadness again, I hope to make you happy for the rest of my life. Will you please consider me?"

"Zen..." (Y/N) whispered. The wind blew and soon sound of someone dropping a bag was heard. She turned her head, there was Jaehee with her takeout dinner. She looked confused, but sad at the same time.

"What's going on here?" Jaehee asked. Zen pulled away from her and walked over to Jaehee and patted her head. "I'll leave the rest for you." With that he carried on and walked away from the two.

"J-jaehee, I want to confess something. For the past few weeks we've been spending together I grew to like you as a best friend, but I realized up to now it was more than just that. I want to make you mine and I want to make you happy. I know it's cliche, but I really do like you."

Jaehee walked over to the crying girl and hugged her. "I know I have many things to learn. But I want to spend the rest of my life learning then with you. I want you to be my partner too..." Jaehee smiled. Soon she sniffed and (Y/N) laughed a bit.

"Are those tears of joy?"

"It is..."

-Time skip-

Zen was smoking a cigarette and glanced out his window. He had some music playing and was just thinking about his love life. How he made the right choice to let go.

"It's better off to move on than be sorry. I wouldn't like to make another selfish mistake. I've always liked you, (Y/N). My feelings will never reach you, but your smile is already enough for me. I love you." Zen smiled.
