(Day in the life of Ollie)

I can't believe what I have done,
My personality had to ruin our fun.
Wake up everyday feeling young and bold,
But I still need her until we're grey and old.
Now my days are full of harsh regret,
Because I was cruel and I had bet
On the loyalty of her heart.

When she first entered the ward,
I had fun, no longer bored.
Icy Naylor couldn't get me down,
Because her smile lit up the whole town.
She met me when I felt dark, she lit me up.
She made me feel as though I was enough.
She might have had a few problems of her own,
But I was like a dog with a bone,
Trying to get her attention.

When we first kissed, my heart exploded,
(Literally) the old stony heart now eroded.
Now when I check a patient's obs,
My heart cries out with sobs,
Because she's no longer mine.

We used to drink the night away,
We used to stay out late to play,
We used to dance too much,
We used to play with my crutch,
But now we're no more.

Everyday, I think of her, she who once was mine.
I wish that she could be,  Dr or Mrs Valentine.
But I spoke words of wrong that made her hurt,
Now there's no such thing as a harmless flirt.
Because everything now hurts me.

I knew I loved you then, but you'd never know,
Because I played it cool when I was scared of letting go.
I had a dodgy heart before but now it's really broken,
So I took the rebounded, and Jasmine's just a token,
That shows my love for Zosia.

So a day in life of me,
Well observe what there is to see.
I'm broken, I can't function,
Now there's no such thing as Zollie.
