During first period, I don't talk to anybody. I saw a girl throwing me shade. At the end of the period, a boy came up to me. I think his name is Robert. He asks me if I am alright. I say yes. The next thing he asks me is very surprising. He asks me if I have a boyfriend. I say no. Robert walks away smiling. I think I have made a new friend. Dylan texts me at lunch. He asks me if I like the school. I say maybe. He sends me a smiley face emoji.
Throughout the school day, people talk to me. A girl that's in my first period came up to me and says not to think that I'll be popular. She smirks and walks away. On my bus ride home, I sit there thinking about that what she said. Dylan calls me a few minutes after I get home. "Hey. How was school?" He says. I tell him "Alright". He says okay and hangs up.
My mom just called me for dinner. I go downstairs and into the kitchen. It smells like lasagna. I eat and then take a bath. I was on my phone when I got a surprise text from Robert. "Hey. Dylan gave me your number." he said. I said hi back and asked him what he was doing. He said nothing and I said okay. I asked him why he wanted my number. He said he didn't know.
I fall asleep, hoping the next day to come quickly. Finally, my alarm goes off. I hop out the bed, ready for the school day. My mom wonders why I'm so happy now when I wasn't happy yesterday. Robert texts me on the bus. He said he had something to give me. I told him to meet me at the door of social studies. He said okay.
Robert meets me at the door and gives me a small box and tells me to open it after he leaves. I ask him why, but it is too late. He is already gone. I go to my desk and open it. It has a necklace with a heart on it. On the bottom, there is a note saying "Will you go out with me." I write yes on it and gives it to him after the class. He looks at it and says okay. He gives me a hug and leaves.
