I walked into the kitchen behind the girl and I saw Mason pouring the hot chocolate into three coffee mugs. He picked two of them up and then walked over to me and handed me one. "Thank you," I said letting the cup warm my hands. "Would you like to watch a movie?" He asks then takes a sip of his drink. "Sure," I smiled up at him. "Lily, you get the popcorn," he says talking to the girl that I ran into. So that's Lily. I looked over at her and smiled noticing how she had the same black hair and grey eyes as her brother.
Following Mason out of the room, I looked around the house as we made our way to what I'm assuming is the living room. "Have a seat," he said walking towards the t.v. I slowly walked over to the couch and sat down. He put in a movie and turned the t.v. on then walked over to a closet that was on the other side of the room. I was happy when he pulled out a couple of blankets as Lily walked in with two bowls of popcorn. I'm so cold and I can't wait until I get warm. She grabbed a blanket and a bowl of popcorn then laid down in the floor.
Mason sat down on the other end of the couch handing me the other blanket and putting the bowl of popcorn between us. Lily groaned when she saw that he put in The Conjuring. "Really Mason?" She asked turning around. "What?" He asked innocently. She just ignored him and turned back towards the t.v. I was freaking out on the inside. I can't handle horror movies because they give me nightmares. When it got to the part where the mom was locked in the basement, Lily had jumped up and made me scoot over so she could sit with us.
I had our bowl of popcorn on my lap and the cover pulled up to my face. Lily was leaning on me causing me to lean on Mason. Not that I minded though, he was really warm and he smelled so good. I made myself comfortable which was basically just me being closer to Mason. When the movie ended we were all still in the same position. I don't want to get up, I like being this close to him. We woke Lily up and she mumbled something about going back to sleep on her way out of the room.
I carefully stood up and pulled the pants that I was wearing up. "Are you hungry?" Mason asks picking up the popcorn bowls. Before I could say anything my stomach growled loudly so without waiting for me to answer he turned around and walked back to the kitchen. I really need to start eating more so this doesn't keep happening. I picked up the two blankets and folded them before putting them back inside of the closet. While waiting for Mason, I decided to start looking around the house.
It wasn't too big but it still had plenty of space. When you walk in the front door there's a living room to the left and a dining room to the right then there's a hallway going straight and a staircase leading upstairs. I walked upstairs and saw that there were four other doors other than Mason's. His house is really beautiful. Deciding not to be too nosey, I walked back down to the kitchen.
When I walked in Mason was standing at the stove with something in a pan. He had a bowl of something sitting next to him and also a bag of shredded cheese and some bread. I walked over to him and saw that he was making tuna melts. I love those so much. It was something that my mom used to make for me all of the time. My stomach growled again when I smelled the food cooking and I could see Mason smiling out of the corner of my eye. My eyes looked down to his pocket when I heard his phone ringing.
He pulled it out and stepped away from the stove answering it. I couldn't hear anything the other person was saying. "She's fine. She's here with me," Mason said calmly into the phone. "It's okay, I understand," he said turning back around to catch my eye. "Okay, I'll talk to you guys later," he hung up the phone and stuck it in his pocket. "That was Elizabeth. She was worried because you weren't answering your phone," he said going back over to the food.
I had completely forgotten about my phone. Where is it? "I think your phone's still in the car," he said knowing what I was thinking. I walked outside to get my phone just as another car pulled in. I grabbed my phone and started walking back in while the other person was just getting out of their car. I closed the door and walked straight into the kitchen to let Mason know that someone was here, but before I could say anything the front door opened and someone yelled out Mason's name.
The voice was deep but not as deep as Mason's. I wonder who it is? "Mason, why didn't you tell me you had a girl over?" The person asked walking into the kitchen, eyeing me. He resembled Mason except this man had blue eyes and seemed to be a few years younger than him. Mason growled and pulled me behind him as if hiding me from this man. I slowly rubbed his back and he seemed to relax a little.
"You found your mate?" The man asked trying to look at me. I could feel Mason's growls rumbling throughout his body. "Yes," he said glaring at the man. "I just want to see her, brother, no need for the hostility." My eyes widened when the man said this, I didn't realize he had a brother too. Why didn't he tell me? I stepped out from behind him, and held my hand out to the man. "I'm Sophia," I said giving him a small smile. "Daniel," he said shaking my hand. "It's nice to meet you," I said taking a step back so I was in front of Mason.
