Despite her lack of sleep Deanna gained enough strength to crawl her behind out of bed this morning. She had a long day ahead of herself she planned to pick up the rest of the things for her mother's Sunday Dinner that was less than 24 hours away and today she was expected at the shop booked for four hair appointments and hoped to catch a few walk-in's as well. To Deanna's surprise she managed to get into the bathroom first, the hot water splashing up against her brown skin was almost therapeutic and did wonders when it came to clearing her crowded mind.

"DEE!" Tahlia shouted banging on the bathroom door.

"WHAT!" Deanna shouted back.

"You're going to the supermarket right?" Lia asked and Dianna silently cursed herself. She wanted something. Somebody always wanted something.

"Yes, Just write down what you need I'll pick it up."

"I'm coming with you. So don't leave me, Okay?"

Deanna paused and even cut off the shower to make sure she heard her friend correctly. "What'd you say?"

"I'm coming with you!" Lia repeated herself, this time speaking a little louder.

Now Dee was sure she heard Lia but she still was stuck with the look of confusion overpowering her face. Tahlia isn't super lazy it's just food shopping was never her thing. The supermarket was foreign territory to that girl. She'd get lost searching for eggs.

"So wait you're doing all the cooking? Your sisters aren't helping?" Tahlia asked as Deanna pushed the shopping cart down the aisle.

"Do they ever?" Deanna asked said rolling her eyes annoyed by how things with her family never changed. "Netta might but you know that woman is never on time for anything." Netta was her favorite. Vita came distant second but Regina didn't even make the list. Deanna couldn't stand her ass and from what she knew the feeling was mutual.

"Ms Loretta really got you this time huh." Tahlia laughed and then started pulling her sweater sleeves over her hands for like the millionth time since they left the apartment. "Bring me back a plate."

"Why don't you just come. Mama likes you way more than she like's me anyway." It was true. Loretta treated Tahlia like the daughter she wish she had to replace Deanna with.

"I may just take you up on that. You know I'm not turning down a free meal." Lia laughed and there she was pulling on that damn sweater sleeve again.

Deanna didn't know why but that little motion was irritating the hell out of her.

"Lia are your knuckle's cold or something?"

"What?" Tahlia asked not understanding what Deanna was talking about.

"You keep covering your hands." Dee pointed out. "Whats up with that?"

Tahlia smiled like a child on Christmas morning. She lifted her hand wiggling her little fingers and there it was. A rock that would make any girl squeal, Deanna was surprised she missed it.

Deanna stopped pushing the shopping cart taking her best friend's hand into her own examining the ring a little closer. " When?"

"He proposed last night." If it were even possible Tahlia's smile got even wider. "So what cha think? My boo did alright huh."

"Well this explains the extra noise last night." It was about damn time. "Will did way better than alright Tahlia it's beautiful."

"Dee I'm getting married." Everyone knew it was going to happen, Lia and Will getting engaged and in the very near future married but still all of this seemed surreal to Tahlia.
