Orgins Pt. 1

14 year old Marinette's POV

I am so excited! Today my sister would be coming back from her trip. Bridgette Dupain-Cheng, my awesome sister, looked a lot like me. Both she and I are 14 years old. Well, Bridgette is a few weeks older. Oh! Let me introduce myself. I am Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the daughter of Sabine Cheng and Tom Dupain, the owners of the most famous bakery in all of France. On the other hand, me and Bridgette have a secret.

5 year old Marinette and Bridgette were playing in Marinette's room when they heard two small voices coming from underneath the table. So they went over to take a look. When they peeked under, they glimpsed a flash of red and purple. The two young girls were surprised and very curious so they decided to look around. After ten minutes of unsuccessful searching, they were almost ready to give up. That is, until Marinette gasped softly. "B-B-Bri-g-ge..t-tette...." the girl pointed, with a shaking finger, at two small......... things, curled up, asleep, on a pillow. "What is it?" Asked Bridgette as she walked over. When she saw them, she was just as surprised as her sister. "Ahh! What is it? A rat?" Marinette giggled "No, I think it's a bug." The girls looked at each other and simultaneously said "Is it a ratbug?" Then they burst into laughter, which woke the two "ratbugs". "Oh, look Tikki," came a small voice. "They found us." The girls looked over, only to find that the purple ratbug was speaking. "Ahhh!" They screamed "Its a talking, floating, ratbug!!!" The red ratbug spoke up. "We're not ratbugs, we're kwamis." Marinette looked at her cousin, who was also looking at her, and shrugged. "Let's tell Maman." The kwamis were terrified, so they flew infront of the girls and cried out "No! Please don't tell your mother! Or anyone, for that matter." The girls thought about it, then relented. The kwamis introduced themselves as Tikki and Nooroo, told the girls about the Miraculous, and told them about A.K.U.M.A. This was their conversation: (A/N: I know I'm being lazy, sorry...)
Marinette: What's your name?
Tikki: Tikki.
Nooroo: Nooroo.
Bridgette: Why are you here?
Tikki: We are kwamis, and we bring the Miraculouses.
Nooroo: Master Fu said that he felt auras around you guys, auras of Ladybug and Butterfly respectively.
Marinette: Ladybug?
Bridgette: Butterfly?
Tikki: They are the superheroes that hold the Ladybug and Butterfly Miraculouses.
Bridgette: What does that have to do with us?
Marinette: We're not superheroes....
Tikki (smiles gently): You see, in total there are 7 Miraculouses.
Nooroo: Ladybug's earrings, Chat Noir's ring, Butterfly's brooch, Paon's pin, Turtle's bracelet, Bee's comb, and Volpina's necklace.
Tikki: Each Miraculous holder has a kwami, and a specific jewelery item that holds their kwamis when the transform.
Nooroo: Ever since ancient times, there has been superheroes protecting Paris from evil. Also ever since ancient times, there has been an evil supervillan called A.K.U.M.A. who is trying to get the Miraculouses.
Tikki: There's me, Ladybug's kwami.
Nooroo: Plagg, Chat Noir's kwami.
Tikki: Nooroo, Butterfly's kwami.
Nooroo: Duusu, Paon's kwami.
Tikki: Wayzz, Turtle's kwami
Nooroo: Hunni (A/N: I made this up! Please don't be mad! The bee kwami's name hasn't been revealed yet! I'll try to change it once the name is revealed!), Bee's kwami.
Tikki: And last but not least, Trixx, Volpina's kwami.
Nooroo: Master Fu, the Guardian, believes that you two are the righteous holders of the Ladybug - Marinette, and Butterfly - Bridgette, Miraculouses.
Marinette/Bridgette: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marinette: That can't be true-
Bridgette: -you must've come to the wrong person-
Marinette/Bridgette: -because I can't possibly be Ladybug/Butterfly!!!
Tikki and Nooroo burst out laughing
Tikki: You gotta believe in yourself, girls.
Nooroo: ...... Woah. Their auras are strooong. Even I can almost see them!
Marinette/Bridgette: ............... This can't be happening. We are the righteous holders of the Ladybug/Butterfly Miraculouses?
Tikki: You were chosen because the Guardian deemed you worthy.
Nooroo: He has watched you, and believes that you will be capable of handling the Miraculouses appropriately.
Tikki: But, you have to consent.
Nooroo: Do you consent to being a superhero?
Tikki: To not abuse your powers, to always stay in the light, and to be loyal to your fellow superheroes?
Marinette/Bridgette: Yes.
Tikki: Yay! Also, you each have a special power.
Nooroo: For example, Ladybug's special power is Lucky Charm; it will create something that can help her in battle.
Tikki: Marinette, I'm your kwami! By the way, I like cookies. Oh! I almost forgot! After you use your special power, you kwami's energy level will drop, and you'll have 5 minutes before you detransfrom. Then, to replenish your energy, you have to give your kwamis the type of food they like.
Nooroo: I like strawberries. Bridgette, your special power is the ability to make someone fall under your control for a short period of time.
Marinette/Bridgette: Cool!
Tikki: But remember, you can't tell anyone about your secret identities. Ever. Okay?
Marinette and Bridgette solemnly nod.
Nooroo: Bridgette, to transform, just say "Nooroo! Light Wings, Rise!"
Tikki: Marinette, say "Tikki, Spots On!"
