Chapter 11 -The parents

At the party

Me and Chuck walked into the party with Blair and Nate...

"So are you guys back together or just friends?" Chuck asked B and Nate

"We're back together" Blair and Nate said at the same time, they seemed really happy.

"Oh yay, congrats guys" I said hugging them both. 

I saw my family here, it was good to see my mother and father actually getting along considering they split when i was 2. 

"Hey Chuck there is some people I want you too meet". I said whispering in his ear. We made our way over to my parents, with Chucks hand on my lower back. 

"Amber, how are you? I haven't seen you all week." My mother said hugging me. 

"Hi mum, yeah i've been good, well great actually." I said releasing from her hug, as my father and sister walked towards us.

"Oh who's this Amber?" My sister Hannah said while shaking his hand. 

"Um well this is Charles Bass" I said holding his hand. "He's my boyfriend." I said.

"Aww well it is very nice to meet you Charles". My mother said. 

"Please call me Chuck" he said hugging my mother. 

"Chuck, it is very nice to see you again, but if you hurt my baby girl, I'll hurt you" My dad said a bit too harshly.

"Oh I assure you Andrew, that I won't hurt her." Chuck said as he and my dad shook hands

"Well we better get going, we have people to greet." I said hugging my family. 

Me and Chuck walked off to the bar to talk to Lily and Eric. 

"Aus, it is so good to see you" Eric said hugging me, "Oh you too E" I said scuffing up his hair. 

"So I see you met Andrew" Lily said to me.

"Wait, met him!?" I asked "I don't need to meet him, I live with him." I said as they all gave me  confusing look "Andrew over there is my father." I said.

"Oh" Lily said. 

"Oh? What's oh?" I asked. "Wait how do you know him?" I asked.

"Well agh, he works for Bass Industries." Chuck said

"Wait so you knew my father all this time." I asked them.

"No, No Aus, I didn't, well I did but I didn't know he was your father until just now when you introduced us." Chuck said grabbing my hand as I started to walk away.

"What didn't the last name kinda give it away, or the fact that a new girl gave from Australia at the exact same time a new employee of yours moved here from the exact same place." I said pulling my hand away and walking out the door. 

"Amber, Aus please just wait, let me explain." Chuck said running towards him. I stopped and faced him.

"What Chuck, was I one of your business deals, or was it just a coincidence that my father works for yours" I yelled trying to hold back the tears. 

He grabbed my hand and pulled me close

"Amber I assure you, you were never business, I never knew your fathers last name, I just knew that Bart hired someone named Andrew, and when I first met your father, he said that he came from Victoria, you came from the Northern Territory."  Chuck said.

"So this is just one big misunderstanding?" I asked

"Yes." He said holding up my chin kissing me. It was a sweet long passionate kiss. "Wait why is your family from Victoria but you're from Northern Territory?" He asked.

"I lived up there, because I went to boarding school for some of year 10 before I moved here."

"Why?" He asked 

"I tell you everything later." i said kissing him.

Spotted:

Amber and Chuck having their first fight outside of Chucks grand hotel opening. Is it the ending of them or will this fight bring them closer than ever before?  You know you love me xoxo GG

Me and Chuck looked at the blast and laughed. "She always has to be the first to know, doesn't she?" I asked and Chuck just nodded kissing me on the cheek before heading back into the hotel.

We had walked out of the hotel, and me and Chuck were waiting for the limo. 

"I'll see you at home, in Brooklyn?" My mother asked me

"Um no, I was gonna stay at Chucks, if that's okay with you?" I asked and mum nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow for shopping and brunch?" I asked mum. 

"Definitely" She said hugging me, "It was nice to meet you Chuck" my mother said walking away. 

Back at Chucks suite:

"So tell me everything." Chuck said as I was getting into one of his t-shirts

"Okay, so I went to a school in Victoria for 4 and a half years, and I started hating it there, I got bullied and I kissed my Best friends boyfriend, So I asked my parents to move schools but there were no private schools in Victoria that my parents could afford. So they sent me to a private high school up in the Northern Territory, and I enjoyed it there, I just missed my friends and family and I wanted to go back and explain to my friends why I left so abruptly. When I was on the phone to my dad one night as I was about to tell him I wanted to come back, he said that he got a job in New York and that we're moving there, if I wanted or I could've stayed in the NT, but I just being on the other side of the country was bad enough let alone of the other side of the world, so I moved up here with them, and my mum didn't want to far away from me and my sister, so she brought a house in Brooklyn, while my dad got a Penthouse on the Upper-East Side." I told Chuck. 

"Wow" he said "Why didn't you tell me this sooner, I would've understood" He said hugging me

"I know and there isn't really anything bad but I still wanted to hide and act like it never happened." I said looking up at him

"Well, you're ex was kinda bad." He said picking me up carrying me to the bed. 

"Yeah, that's true", I said. "Goodnight Chuck" I said hugging him. 

"Goodnight Aus." He said kissing my forehead, hugging me. I felt so safe in his arms and when I'm with him, I feel like nothing else matters.
