Ronnie: Aye guys bring it in for an announcement, we finna have a new player on the team his name is Lucas Coly he'll be here soon so run a few drills.
Guys: Coo, come on let's hoop.
In Ronnie's Head
As I'm telling the guys about this new dude they don't seem to happy but I was told he was really really good so it'll be a good addition to the team... I hope. Man it's hard being team captain.
Lucasia's POV
I'm glad my dad got a new job but I'm not glad about a new school I have changed to about three new schools in about a month. They just keep on signing him to new teams which means new homes. My dad plays for the Oakland Raiders right now but before was the Cleveland whatever's and the team before that was the Baltimore Raves... I think then his original team was the Arsenals of London. I loved it in London everything was so beautiful and abstract, everyday was different and me and my dad being different was hard but fun. I hope it's fun here and I love basketball I last played in London I was the best on the girls team, not to brag. This new team in Oakland only has a boy team but my dad persuaded the principle and now I'm going to try out slash show off what I got.
AT THE SCHOOL GYM
Lucasia aka Lucas POV
I just made it to the gym and I see a whole bunch of boys doing a dribble drill around the court. They stop and stare as I make my way to who I assume is Ronnie Banks the captain of the team. His friends start clapping and whistling they probably think I'm his girl but ... Nope.
Ronnie POV
I look up and see this really pretty girl walking towards me she has on a raiders football jersey that fits real nice to her body but the sleeves are cut off to make a thick tank like a B-ball jersey and these shorts that were Nike with a London Arsenal sign on it but they were cut to above her knee and she had on black aqua Jordan's.
Lucas: Hey I'm Lucas Coly I'm here to try out for the team.
The guys stopped doing their drills and I just looked at her and said "But your a.... Girl¿"
