Caught in the game (a louis tomlinson fanfic)

Louis?

The car ride was awkward and quiet.

I resorted into turning the radio on while Liam had his hand to his mouth and the other on the wheel.

I felt so uncomfortable.

I felt so guilty. guilty because of Louis. He was in hospital probably fighting for his life, whereas I'm sat in some strangers car listening to music.

"Can you hurry up please" i asked Liam.

"We are at the speed limit love" he chuckled.

I sunk in my seat and pulled my phone out.

12 missed calls and 21 texts.

There were too many to read so i opened a random one.

'Where the hell are you! i hope you not fooling around with louis! he's no good! D:<"

This was from Molly. My best friend.

'No no no! something has come up i wont be in school today but ill call you later!'

I replied and clicked send.

I looked up and we were at the hospital.

I opened the car door and speedwalked inside.

Liam was behind me, struggling to keep up. This made me chuckle.

We reached the doors and i walked over to the old lady at the front desk who was currently in a phone call.

She put one finger in the air, telling me to wait. I sighed and folded my arms turning towards a panting Liam.

"Ok I'm here" he breathlessly added holding himself up with his hands on his knees.

I didn't say anything and turned back to the old lady. i was becoming inpatient.

"Can you please hurry up" i said. She gave me a glare and ended her conversation.

"Where is Louis Tomlinson's room at?" i asked leaning on the desk.

"I can only give such information to family" She stated with a smirk playing on her lips.

How i wanted to slap her there and then.

"I am family" i sighed "I'm his girlfriend" i added.

Liam looked at me sadly and returned to look back at the floor with his hands in his pockets.

Okay..

"Fine" the lady spoke up. she started going through sheets of paperwork and handed me one without a word.

She picked up the phone and continued her conversation.

I looked at the paper and read all of his injuries.

Broken leg
Wrist fracture
Cracked skull
Blood loss
Coma

The last one got me. I couldn't help the tears forming.

This was all my fault.

He could die because of me.

What would i tell his family, his sisters. I couldn't do that. I'm not strong enough.

Large strong hands stroked my shoulders from behind.

"It will be okay" they said. It was Liam.

I looked further down the sheet.

Room 1237

I broke from Liam's grasp and made my way down the corridors.

Left, right, right again, straight ahead and boom.

I was outside of his door.

I didn't bother to get permission and i walk in slowly turning the handle.

The door creaked open as i peered upon his lifeless body.

A nurse was sat in the corner reading a magazine, oblivious to me walking in.

"Um, miss? Hi can i come in?" i asked innocently.

"Sure lovely take a seat" She said gesturing to the seat next to Louis' bed.

I stared at Louis for a good ten minutes. Watching his chest rise and fall slowly.

I looked at his facial features. He was beautiful.

Cute little bags under his eyes, making him look like a five year old. Plump pink lips. His lips looked heavenly.

It's a shame he uses all of his charm for all the wrong reasons.

"You know, when your in a coma, you can still hear people but you just can't reply. Try speaking to him" The nurse told me.

I nodded and grabbed his hand.

"Louis I-I can't begin to explain to you how sorry i am" i sniffled "If i could i would swap places with you" I looked him up and down.

"Please wake up, not just for me but for your sisters. Your family. Your unborn little brothers. They will want to see you." I chuckled at the image of Louis with babies.

"How about when you grow up. You will have a wife and beautiful children. You will be a great dad" I wiped a tear away.

"You can have all of that. You just need to open your eyes" I shook his hands "Please just wake up"

His eyes fluttered. He gave me a crooked smile.

"Louis?"

The next chapter is going to be BIG. and I NEED TO KNOW WHETHER YOU WANT THE BOYS IN THE BOOK I CANT PUT THEM IN UNLESS YOU ASK DISKSKDNNF
