Chapter 3: Almost there
Mikasa's POV
I checked the time once more and it was 11:03.
I was so anxious to get to our house, I just wanted to sleep in my room all day long with enough food.
"Mom? Are we still stopping for food today" I asked.
"Of course, today were stopping at two motels to eat and tomorrow we're stopping at one motel because we're getting there at 9 am" my mom answered.
"Thanks mom" I said
"No problem" she said.
"Mikasa? Can you hurry up, I need to use my powerbank" my sister said.
My sister and I finally agreed that we could use my phone.
I used her powerbank to charge my phone, and in return, she gets to use my phone to listen to three songs.
"With what, you're phone isn't even here, it's in the van!" I said.
"Yeah, but I have my iPad with me and I need to charge it" she told me.
"Just wait five more minutes"
"Look", she continued, "just because I'm letting you use my own powerbank, doesn't mean you should take me for granted, we had a deal, use my powerbank for 10 minutes and i listen to three songs. It's been 27 minutes. Give it back!"
"Fine" and I handed it in.

2 hours had gone by and it was 1:20, time was going fast.
We had stopped at one motel and I quietly sneaked 2 sandwiches and one Fanta inside my bag.
My sister snuck half a sandwich, some rich tea biscuits and 2 sprites.
We just had some hours left till we got to California.
I was very happy because my mom was saying that the house she bought was quite big, but it wasn't as big as our house in England.
Maddison's POV
I started eating my sandwich and I drank some of my sprite, we only had one motel to stop in and that was at six o'clock.
"Mom, do you have enough money to stop at 2 more motels" I asked.
"Yes, but that means if we use up the money today to go to two more motels, we won't go to any one tomorrow." My mom said.
"Ugh! But I'm so hungry" I whined.
"Then suck it up!" My sister adds.
"Shut up" I said.

4 hours had gone.
It was 5:36 when I checked my watch.
"See Maddie, we're almost there" my mom reminds me.
