Spending her whole life under ground the girls eyes had grown used to the darkness. Walking back to bed she took a seat on the ground glancing at Hayden's sleeping posture. He had grown up quite a bit over the years, his seventeen year old self long gone. Chiselled chin with a well sculpted nose, arm muscles had grown and scars had appeared. He would be twenty-one soon.

It was only when he was a asleep that frown of his was not present. But she couldn't feel the love. She knew she should be grateful to have even found a male to take care of her from the war above. She should be grateful with what she has got and stay and support Hayden. Fall in love have a couple of kids, teach them about the horrible word then to only die and leave them to fend for themselves. Misty could never have kids in this world. If there was peace then maybe. But even then, not with Hayden.

Pulling herself to her feet she made her way up the old stairs and to the hidden hatch door. After the beating yesterday going out side was the most stupid thing to do. But Misty constantly felt a pull, she couldn't explain it but she just felt the need to go out side. There was quite a big storm last night and she also really wanted to look around was what she tried telling her self. It was just to look around, she wouldn't go to far.

Staying close to her so called home she sat by a rock watching the breeze sweep the Autumn leaves off the ground and threw the sky. Winter was coming and that would mean more time spent locked up under ground and less food. Her mind would always wonder when watching the clouds floating through the ocean of the sky. But as the sun made its way down behind the mountains she knew it was time to go. Hayden would wake up soon to go hunting through the night and she wasn't planning on getting in trouble again.

Standing a crackle of the bushes and the crunching of sticks made the girl freeze. It could be any thing she was over thinking the situation and needed to just hurry along. A growl stopped her footing making her breath catch in her throat. Something was there and it wasn't human. Looking around a shout made the her jump.

"Misty! I swear how many times do I have to tell you!" Hayden marched out side grabbing the girl not noticing her terrified state and slapped the girl across the face.

"Hayden there is-" She pointed behind him trying to catch his attention only to receive a kick to the stomach.
"Shut up! I told you just yesterday! For god sake! You need to learn your place!" He screamed greedily snatching a handful of her brown locks and forcing her head to the dirt. He smashed her head multiple times, her vision becoming burly. Only just being able to pick herself up she glanced at the red blood being splattered over the grass, Hayden's screams halting after a bone shattering crack.

She quickly covered her eyes as a black blur made its way over to her trembling body.

She had never seen a wolf especially not this close.
