Lost souls (Horror)

Today I was going to my friend's house. We were going to check out the pond that everyone claimed to be "Haunted". I biked to her house, and waited for her to open the door. Finally, after what seemed like forever, she opened the door. "Are you ready, Carol?" I asked. "Yup, I'm just very nervous," Carol replied. We walked to the pond side by side. Once we got to the pond, I looked around. I didn't see anyone there. It looked abandoned. "Serena..I'm scared," Carol said, grabbing my arm. "Look there's to be afr-" I was cut off by a hand clamping over my mouth. I look at Carol wide-eyed, but she was gone. I turned around and saw Carol. Carol let go of her hand. "Carol! You scared me!" I half scream. "Sorry, I didn't mean to.. I just didn't want us to be too loud.. We might disturb the tiger in the forest over there" Carol said pointing towards the forest. "Oh wait...What tiger? Tigers don't live in forests!!" I say almost too loudly. The tiger opens its eyes, and looks around furiously. "Uh oh," I say. "RUN!" Carol yells, taking off without me. We run as fast as we can. "Where...are..we..going?" I ask Carol. "I'm not sure, Hurry! This way!" Carol says. We run into the forest with the tiger right behind us. 

The forest was pretty huge, so I lost Carol. I was so frightened. After a minute of nonstop running, I tripped over a giant tree root. My knee started to bleed rapidly. "Carol?" I said looking around. She was nowhere in sight.  I started to walk towards the direction I came from but I ended up walking in circles around the tree I tripped on earlier. There was still no sight of Carol. I ended up studying the tree and on the root that I tripped on, there was a weirdly shaped leaf which I tugged off of the tree. The tree soon began to enlarge and I was transferred to another place.

It was pitch black. I could NOT see anything at all. Then, all of a sudden a white face with red eyes and black pupils popped up and FREAKED me out! I was so afraid!! It was just a head without a body, and it drifted away. Once again, it was pitch black. I called out for Carol but my voice spoke nothing. I tried again, still, nothing. Then I felt like I was falling 10 feet under and I couldn't breathe. It was like the oxygen was being sucked right out of me. This happened for what seemed like forever until I just stayed floating in the air. I gasped for air and soon the white figure with red eyes came back. It began coming closer to me and I tried to run but I couldn't! I was stuck. I felt so hopeless. As I stood there, I noticed something. It sounded like someone calling for help. Was the white figure in trouble? Soon the voice got louder as the white figure came closer towards me. The voice then became multiple voices and white figures were everywhere around me!

"We are the trapped souls," They said in unison. "We have died and our souls are trapped within this realm. Save yourself.. before you become one of us." I tried to respond but nothing came out once again. I wanted to ask HOW I could save myself but I couldn't. My toes soon started to disappear. I felt nothing, yet I was so frightened. Then I spotted something. Something on one of the white figure's faces. On the forehead of a white figure was a glowing blue stone. I reached for it, and it gave me the ability to move. It felt like I was in space! I glided through the darkness, reaching up and up until I saw that one of the figures had a red colored stone. I chased the figure and gripped onto the red stone which eventually came off. I felt a tug at my lungs and I could finally breathe steadily. "I CAN SPEAK" I shouted by accident. All the white figures turnt their heads at me and started drifting towards me. 

I was once again freaked out. "You must leave at once! The Shadow Demon is angry with you! He will consume you!" They all said in unison. Soon, my feet were GONE! I panicked and I tried to get away but one of them stopped me. "He is coming back. YOU MUST HURRY AND LEAVE!" It said. "How?" I asked. "If we knew, we wouldn't be trapped in this realm, now LEA-" That's when the soul was cut off and fully disappeared. "He is near! He is near!" They repeated in unison. I quickly looked around to see if I could find more stones. On the head of a lost soul, I found a purple one. This one seemed to shine brighter than the rest. I went for it but it struck me across the realm. I did not expect that. Soon, I was tired out. I felt like my body couldn't go on. I had used up my energy in the realm. My legs started to disapear. "HELP! I CAN NO LONGER MOVE!" I told the lost souls.
