My mama wrapped me in a pink wool blanket. She smilled and brought my forehead to her lips.
"Beautiful." She breathed
My daddy stood next to my mama tears in his eyes. The doctors and staff were cleaning up from my recent birth.
"Let me hold her. You need to rest." My daddy said to my mama.
"Thankyou." Mama said.
Daddy took me from mama and sat down in a nearby rocking chair. He sat down and cradled me in his arms. He looked down at me and started to rock back and forth. I looked around the room. It seemed like an office turned delivery room. To the left was the bed mama was in. Pushed to the wall. Next to the bed was a small nightstand. In that corner was the rocking chair me and daddy were in. The wall on the opposite side held many medical things. Scissors, guazes,bloodpresser cuff, thermometer, scale, and some shots with clear liquids in them. The right wall had a computer on a dark wood desk. A rolling chair by it. The wall also had a bookcase with tons of books. The walls held pictures of my family. Mama, daddy, my grandparents, and aunts and uncles. There were lots of pictures of a little girl. She looked like I probably will in a few years. The most recent picture of her was her 4th birthday party. She was sitting at a table surrounded by family and friends. She had on a party hat that said "Birthday Girl." She was blowing out four candles. Her birthday cake titled Happy 4th birthday Melly! I frowned and wondered who Melly was. I was shaken from my thoughts when a nurse picked me up out of the hands of my now sleeping daddy. She handed me to my mama who fed me a bottle. I then fell into a deep peaceful sleep.
