Chapter Twelve

One Month Later

Peters' POV
"So when are you going to ask her out" I ask Wade as he and I walk out of the elevator and into the kitchen.
"I don't know, but soon" he says "Good cuz if you don't Dylan is" I say as my Dad and Pops walk into the kitchen.
"Who are you asking out" Pops asks as he walks to the fridge "Lynnella" he says.
"I don't think so" Dad says. "What, Dad come on if he likes her then he should ask her out, he's a better fit for her than Dylan is" I explain "You mean Dylan Hart" Pops says as he bites into an apple.
"Ya he asked me if she was single and I said that she was so then he said that he was going to ask her out sometime" I say as I sit down. "Well as much as I don't like the idea of her dating I'm glad it's going to be Wade at least we know him" Dad says as he grabs some juice out of the fridge.
"That's true, speaking of dating how is it going with Mary Jane" Pops asks me.
"Good, I'm glad that we're together finally" I answer.
"Ya me too just don't get her pregnant I'm to young and hot to be a grandpa" Dad says.
"Oh Tony he won't we have to have a little faith in our kids" Pops says as Lynnella comes out of the elevator and into the kitchen.

"Hey guys, what you up to" she asks as she sits down at the table.
"Not much how was training, did you beat up Clint" Dad asks.
"Ya I did, I was also able to pin Uncle Bucky, it was only for about two seconds but I did it" she says as she gets up and goes to the fridge. "That's good, are you ready for the Christmas party tonight" Pops asks her.
"Ya I am, Wade are you staying for it".
"Yes I am" he replies.
"That's good I'm excited it's going to be fun, I'm going to go shower because I stink and I need to start getting ready" she says as she walks out of the kitchen and up the stairs to her room.
"How long does she expect herself to take get ready" Dad asks and Pops just shrugs his shoulders.

A couple hours later at the party

Wades' POV
"Hey Pete where's your sister" I ask as him and I walk towards his dads and the rest of the Avengers who are all talking.
"I don't she should be down here soon, she's probably almost done getting ready" he says "Ya you're probably right" I say as his Dad says "Hey boys having fun".
"Ya we've been talking to all of the important people that you invited" Peter says as Lynnella walks up to us wearing a red halter neck dress, black kitten heels, and her hair is swept off to the side.
"Hey guys what you talking about" she asks us "Hey sweetie you look pretty" Steve says. "Thanks Pops, I tried" she says

"Oh honey, you don't have to try to look good you just do" Logan says as him and Bucky walk up to us.
"Thanks Logan, hey Pete do you know if Dylan is coming tonight, he said that if he was able to come he would" she asked him
"No I don't see him, I don't think he's coming he said to me yesterday that he probably wasn't going to be able to come" he says.
"Oh okay, well I'm going to go get something to drink" she says and then walks away.
"Dude now is your chance to ask her out" Peter says to me.
"Ya I guess you're right" I say.
"You know the worst that can happen is she says no, which isn't going to happen, she likes you she just won't admit it" he says to me.
"You like Lynnella, I didn't see that coming" Clint says to me.
"Ya I do I just don't know if I should ask her out or not" I say to everyone.
"Wade just do it, and it's like Peter said the worst that can happen is that she says no" Natasha says to me.
"Natasha's right, but remember that if you hurt her we will hurt you" Logan says to me as he gestures to himself and everyone else.
"Ya I know okay here goes nothing" I say as I turn around and start walking towards her.
